Why is my name still in the title? Is Perdue as a white stiff not valid? It's also my final pick

Gana Time: Andris Biedrins - 2007/08 (before he turned to total crap)
Final Roster:
PG: Deron Williams - Avery Johnson - Vinnie Johnson
SG: Kevin Durant - Jamal Crawford - Kiki Vandeweghe
SF: LeBron James - Michael Cooper - Eddie Johnson
PF: Kevin McHale - Buck Williams - Armen Gilliam -
C: Alonzo Mourning - Andris Biedrins - Chuck Nevitt
- Nice mix of offense and defense.
- Can excel in an up tempo environment and with legit post players also in a half court set.
- Multiple players able to play 2, 3 or 4 positions.
- Very deep bench that has offensive and defensive specialists.
- Great team guys who understand the "one of many" mentality that champion teams need to win
- Roster filled with natural leaders
- Amazing starting 5 that totally compliments each other to perfection

wow, I never would have thought that Biedrins would get picked in this kind of a draft. Weird to see him in the second line-up besides legends like Buck Williams.

my last pick is going to be kinda kooky as well, I really should have used my sleeper pick on a big, but I really wanted Sarunas.

Re: Scavenger Hunt Draft - SWeed's pick
This was actually a pretty tough choice for me. I feel like even though I have multiple dominant rebounders, you simply cannot have enough guys who go out and revel in their ability to crash the boards. And if you're going for rebounding, it doesn't get too much better than this guy. Seriously, it doesn't.
He's 7th All-Time in NBA History Total Rebounding % (3rd among active players) and a crazy 4th All-Time (1st among active players)when it comes to Offensive Rebounding.
Not bad for a white guy.
His best year came in 2005-06, when he put up averages of 6 points (55.2%), 9 rebounds, 12 perfect box outs, and 8 fantastic screens.
I'm talking, of course, about Jeffrey Douglas Foster

lol, that will be a classic photo in ten year's time. I don't want to throw him under the bus or anything, but since I'm kind of fed up with him - what the heck. While our national team was participating in the qualification tournament for the Euros, he was easy to find in Riga's night clubs (a good friend of mine even took a photo with him in one, lol). I normally wouldn't have a problem with a player relaxing during the off-season, but the problem is that he declined to play for the NT because he said that he has to get ready for the next NBA season... It doesn't seem like he is preparing for it. I suppose dude was a contract year guy all along.

There was honestly three guys I was choosing between that all bring different things that a team could use.
Role players abound in this cat, but I think some guys didn't feel like researching and just went with a name they knew.

I am looking at my list and there surely are some guys that can shoot the ball, that always helps a team, so I can't wait to see which is your solid 3rd string center - either one of those shooters or this one defensive guy who's left on the board. As I am the one closing out the draft, I suppose I could go with a pick for the lulz.

I've read of lot of GSW fans with similar comments.
He seemed to show some promise, finishing a high % of shots and averaging a double/double, but then he got his contract and just turned to ****. If he kept in the gym he could have at least had a long career as a solid role playing big

Re: Scavenger Hunt Draft - Sachmo's pick
For my last pick I was contemplating picking Eddie Griffin to be an athletic energy guy off the bench.
He really was a tragic waste of talent, 6'10 super athletic with range out to the 3pointer. But I don't think he is worth the distraction.
Instead I'm going to select a man who knows the 15th man role perfectly. He filled it for the San Antonio Spurs and tailed it to a championship ring. (Fun fact, Aussie Boomers 2000 side had more NBA champion rings than the Team USA squad)
This man lives, breathes and just straight out loves basketball. With the Chucker pick I'm taking Andrew Gaze 1993-94 where he averaged 3.1pts and a rebound in 10 minutes. Yet he was still shooting 50% from three.
Andrew Gaze is as good a shooter as you will find in the World, the only thing that stopped him from playing in the NBA is that he was just not quick and athletic enough. He could have easily gone to Europe and tore it up, but he loved his local Melbourne Tigers too much. One of my favourite memories was one Olympics where Gaze and Kenny Smith were both commentating and someone mentioned Gaze's shooting skills. Kenny challenged him to a 3pt shooting contest and promptly lost. Seeing how pissed Kenny was at losing really made me chuckle.
He played 22 seasons in the NBL and averaged 30.9 pts a game, once averaged 44pts in a season.
He was named one of FIBA's top 50 international players joining names like Divac, Petrovic, Kukoc, Sabonis and Schmidt.
He played in 5 Olympics and averaged 19.7pts a game.
Until Bogut gets healthy and finds some success Gaze will be known as the best male basketballer Australia has ever produced. He is Australian Royalty.
