I actually think Vonleh is more likely to have the body to be a center someday.

I would take Gordon over Lance, but honestly I'm not super high on either.

Not to undermine anyone's opinion in particular, but allow me to explain why I like Stephenson more than Hayward

...because neither are a legit 3-point threat, but what they do both have going for them is versatile all-around playmaking ability at the wing positions. Stephenson is a better ball handler, better defender, and he'll be reasonably cheaper. That's my argument, or in better words, case. Short & simple, straight to the point

Also Stephenson is everything you want from the SG besides elite 3 point shooting and his "antics". Solid, imposing defender, can be a secondary ball handler, can pass down low (Henderson cannot do this). Great second or third option behind Al.

If the Pelicans are looking to move Rivers would you trade Gee for Rivers just to see if he can pan out?

I don't want Austin Rivers anywhere near our team.

No. That's not to say that Austin Rivers isn't going to or wouldn't pan out, but I wouldn't want to be the team that take the gamble, being that we're currently constructed as a team that's playoff bound & beyond. Rivers just come off as too egotistical for me to want him on this current team. If we were Charlotte of 2-3 years ago, I'd be all over it though

I am not a big fan of his but I am curious if you could turn him into a scoring PG. I think he could be a better shooting version of Sessions down the line. I think if I could get him cheap and try for a year or two I would.

I wouldn't mind getting him as our 3rd string "mini project" PG

See that is kind of what I was thinking. See what our staff can do with him at PG and see if he can be a quality tweener guard like Session but with that 35-40% 3pt shot.

I just don't like his demeanor; too egotistical to just place at the end of the bench without expectations and expect to get the best out of him. Maybe he's a lot more humbled these days then a few years ago when he was too arrogant to take sound advice from his father, Doc Rivers, because he was the toughest kid in the yard against prep players, but I'm just not on board with it if you're asking my opinion. I wouldn't even want him if the Pelicans were willing to ship him to Charlotte for free. It's not a talent or lack of upside thing. I just don't like his attitude

Supposedly Miami is floating Norris Cole as a trade option for cap relief. He has a 2M salary. Not advocating, but any chance we would deal them a future 2nd round pick to make Cole our reserve behind Kemba?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Cole had a PER of 8.8 (2nd worst on MIA of anyone that got decent minutes)

I think if we can't get a look from Melo or Lance or Hayward we need to consider going for picks again. Make trades that lightly help us out while solving other teams needs to clear space. Take on Lin for a pick or something along that lines.

If we could get Parsons without a fight and then help them unload Lin so they can scramble for Melo or James I think it would be considered a win for the offseason.

I'd rather have the cap space.

I would be interested as well. I think Rivers has eaten a ton of humble pie the last 2 years and knows he has to work to stay in the league.

That is kind of what I am hoping. He isn't perfect by any stretch but he could be a decent backup PG project for us.
