Nearly impossible to get Claxton now. Nets just used all 5 of their 1st round picks. Would take sending multiple players and a bunch of future picks.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Not a chance Mark Williams goes for anything less than an overpay. If he were some ticking time bomb of damaged goods, we would've shelved him after the Lakers flunked his physical (thus reclaiming their trade assets). Mark looked spry and quicker as the season progressed.

We don't want your junk.

Didn't mean to insult you with my offer for your healthy All-Stars

If you're pricing him at a discount due to risk of injury we are not selling him for less than the Lakers return. Their tactics didn't change our demands.

Ouch.

Basically a likely late first rounder in 2029 and a very early second rounder (#29/McNeeley) this year. Thats quite the drop off from the Lakers offer.

I’m not here to ruffle feathers, but saw this as I was browsing your space and coincidentally I was the one Skybox was referencing regarding the initial trade idea.

Ironically, you guys are looking for a center, drafted a wing shooter and looking for high character players which the trade executed almost perfectly (and this is completely disregarding Orlando absorbing a ton of negative salary).

Funny how these things work out.

If Peterson doesn't trade these extra picks he's accumulated for a real difference maker in the frontcourt sometime in the next year he should be fired.

If Naz Reid ops out, does he become a restricted free agent? He is still only 25 and can hit 3s. Maybe could get him in sign and trade deal?

Claxton is the exact player they should be targeting with 3 of these dumb late firsts

Naz Reid is the more perfect fit, but we have no way to sign him because our team stupidly took on a ton of useless salary since they've been here

Meanwhile the Wizards have 100M in cap space next offseason, Tre Johnson and Bilal, and will have a high pick next year

There really isn’t any avenue I see to get us a quality center…even one at the same level we had in the oft injured and (presumably) disinterested Mark Williams. It would require trading a key core player as part of a reset package…and yes I mean Melo.

Miles isn’t bringing us back a starting center. Miller might but Liam is still wearing a training diaper. Anyone else that might take a package of Miles and some random Hornets garbage plus some of those vaunted first round picks we’ve stashed??? ANYONE??

When your roster gets filled with mediocrity the chances of trading that for something good is a fool’s errand. So you’d better play your cards right when drafting, or you get stuck with Nurkic and a nice woefully undersized young man who can’t shoot like Diabate.

This feels like Jeffie and wittle Charles fell in love again with some good decent prospects, but in the swooning lost track of NEEDING A REPLACEMENT CENTER. Do they have a plan?? I haven’t heard any reporter ask him this obvious question during his press availability. Maybe I missed it…I had difficulty keeping myself from spewing responses back at him.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

We own 7 1st round draft picks over the next 4 drafts, and on our books right now we have like $40M in expiring salary we could offer if we wanted. We have a ton of options.
