Trade that seems to make sense.

Miles and Vicic straight up for Cam Johnson and Sharpe - perhaps some second round sweetener from BKN.

(assuming everyone knows Miles can't be traded until 1/15)

Guys I might just be excited, but it feels like we are setting ourselves up to be players for Steph Curry.

Mann is balling, and we obviously have Bridges as a trade piece. Add a bunch of picks and we could be in the conversation. It only makes sense all of the Curry's finish their career in Charlotte.

Am I crazy?

Melo/Miller is more than enough for Curry to win in Charlotte. These dudes both have all-star potential this season. You put Curry in between those 2 and we got a contender on our hands.

Bridges/Mann/Green/4 future 1st for Curry

Maybe make it into something bigger and add Draymond.

I love Steph Curry. Everyone loves Steph Curry. But guy is 36. He makes 60mm in each of the next two years. I'm not sending away a bunch of picks and talent for a 36-year-old 60mm a year man. Let him semi-retire on his own terms at 38 and sign him straight up like Chris Paul in SA.

Curry wouldn't have to carry the load here. That's why we have Melo/Miller. You put Curry in that 3rd option role and he would flourish.

The East is down only Boston is legit. This is our chance to go for it all. I say go all out for Curry. We can be relevant again.

F those Picks! We want Curry! 8-)

Ha - love the go-for-it passion - you be you. Gonna stick with my logic guns. Would love to continue to build as we're building, perhaps grab another 1st round pick this year (SA), and bring Steph here on a vet min in a couple of years when we're hitting stride. (Would it be fun to see Steph on our current team? You bet).

Hell no to trading a bunch of picks and Mann for Steph. He'd be retired while our picks are being used by GSW to reboot another run. No thanks.

We are NOT near position to go big game hunting and even if we could mortgage multiple drafts for a star, the boost in production would be a diminished return on our investment compared to a smaller investment that could generate a comparable outcome.

I think we underestimate how the whole dynamic could change just by addition of 1 perfect-fitting role player. Kind of like how when the Wolves added Patrick Beverly they became competitive overnight.

I think we need a similarly tough role player like Bobby Portis and Terance Mann. They could change the whole complexion of our team and how we play on both ends. They set the tone with their effort and toughness.

We need to build and cultivate culture.

No skipping steps.

It'd be great to have him here, but it wouldn't last very long and twilight Steph is not winning us a chip. We'd still have no front court. If we made a move like this, do it for Giannis.

Trading for Giannis would certainly mean we have to trade either Melo or Miller and that's not a contender even with the Giannis addition.

At least with Curry we still would have our 2 young stars.

Also when Curry leaves he frees up a lot of cap. It's basically a 2-3 year run nothing long-term.

I want this franchise to have about 15 trades ready to go come January when we're finally eligible to trade miles.

Get a list of Trades all the way from aggressive win now type trades down to lowly salary dump type trades.

I need him off this roster no later than July 15th of 2025

He's our most tradable contract really. But his value is going to be bad unless he gets back to at least where he was last season. If he can regain pre-incident form then we've got something to work with. But even so, he makes us too small if he's our PF. I just need us to get bigger. Cam Johnson would be a great target.

i would argue he is our least tradeable contract right now
90 mil owed
3 yrs owed
legal trouble
pr nightmare for new team
and he's not a good player if his legs are gone and he cant shoot

yeah watching him stink it up has made me question how hard it would be to move that contract.

hopefully he trains into some fitness and gets it going.
