How about this comparison for Kon, not saying he's near the ballhandler Jalen is but Kon's trying to play the same way.

He still reminds me of a stronger Jo Ingles, using smarts and awareness to be effective. Jos passing made was so dangerous that it often got him open layups as they defences hedge for the pass

There is no doubt a lot of ingles game in his. I think Ingles is a little more loosey goosey with the way he plays. Ingles statistically was a really good 3 point shooter but Kon will obviously launch them with a lot more frequency. Ingles didn't really get minutes until he was about 28. His best years were 12/5/5... I think a decade of those numbers are probably his floor at the moment. But if you told me ten years of 15/4/5 on 45/40/90... As that connector piece between scoring options one and two... I'd probably put it in the bank.

I should have said a more assertive Ingles as well, he used to defer way to much at times. Apart from that awesome series when he clowned Paul George

Alright I’ll stop bashing Kon, it’s not his fault that this team does what it does. I don’t even dislike him as a player, I just dislike how this team uses its premium assets especially when they keep purposely wasting years and years of time specifically for this. You move up from 10 to 4 and pick Kon cause your teams lookin okay, then whatever. When you are a 19 win team getting worse and worse 3 years straight and you aren’t even sure if you have a single long term young piece on your roster that you actually like long term it’s just baffling, but whatever

Ready to move forward at least on him, I’m probably gonna keep trashing the team and Lee until they do something decent though

Haven't seen many clips of him trying a floater. If he develops one like Brunson has, look out!

Kon impacts the game in multiple ways. Took a head smack on the floor tonight, certainly stitches, hopefully no concussion protocol. His defense is better than I expected at SL level, will be far more tested next level. But he reads things fast, pivots quick, is a pest. Probably best defending SF but his switches are good. Reads the court so well. Once he gains experience and synergy with his teammates, he will be a problem.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

players i've either read or heard Kon mention that he models his game after
- klay - Obviously the shooting and the mechanics
- middleton - mentioned he loved his midrange game And being from Wisconsin he watched a lot of middleton with the bucks
- butler - Talked about watching a lot of Butler attacking with two feet, balance etcetera
- bird - Mentioned this was his parents favorite player and grew up watching a lot of larry tape

He’s a really smart player and brings a lot of latent value. I like this pick a lot more than I expected to. I’m always happy to be proven wrong, and he is on the right track so far.
