Re: 1st rd pick general discussion #2 overall (Poll Added)
My first instinct says trade down & nab MKG, but then again he might not be there further down.
I like Gilchrist. Yes his jumper is awful but he does so much on the court, where the Bobcats need so much. It will be like a young Gerald Wallace.
Robinson at 6-8, IMO is not a #2 pick, & there is no need to take Drummond with Biyombo.

If Robinson measures 6'10 with shoes and 7'1 wingspan do you take him?

Re: 1st rd pick general discussion #2 overall (Poll Added)
My big board is probably a lot different than most of the others.
1. Anthony "I already forgot him in my mind" Davis
2. Andre Drummond
Big men with his physical tools come by only once or twice a decade. He has the most potential in this draft and Bobcats need stars badly. At #2 you should pick the best talent available worry about the fit later.
3. Thomas Robinson
Best big man available, not many holes in his game but somewhat lacks star potential. Robinson is a solid choice and a solid fit with our current team. Will not be disappointed if we pick him.
4. Jered Sullinger
Most of you probably don't have Sully nowhere near this high, but I think he will be a really good player in the NBA. If it was last years draft he would be a top 3 pick and he didn't disappoint to much his second year. He had health issues but played on par with his freshman season. Low post scorer with great footwork and nice jumper is hard to come by. Problem is is he Kevin Love pt.2 or Sean May?
5. Harrison Barnes
Another guy who was consensus top 3 player until March. Barnes is the best fit for the Bobcats rooster, even better than Davis. I think he will be a good scorer in this league and a solid defender. To me he is a better than MKG who was a top notch role player on a team full of stars. But the Bobcats don't have any stars.

Hello Gentlemen,
Warriors fan here. First off, sorry you didn't get the 1st pick, at the same time I think you're franchise is in good shape. You had a solid draft last year and will get a good player at 2 this year. With that being said, i have a question for you that was thrown around on the Warriors board. It is 100% HYPOTHETICAL. Just curious on your response because you are most familiar with your own players.
Again, HYPOTHETICALLY, what would you guys think if:
Warriors trade: 7th pick, 8th pick, 30th pick, and Jeremy Tyler
Bobcats trade: 2nd pick, Bismack Biyombo
Please give an honest response whether positive or negative.
Note: This is hypothetical contingent on the Warriors making a trade with the Pistons, just curious on your response.

Ok as a first to respond to your post I will try to be polite, because the rest probably won't be
I would have hard time trading #2 for #7 and #8 but at the end I would do it. But Bismack Biyombo is worth more to the Bobcats than any of the parts we are getting back, so the answer to your question is NO WAY. Biyombo is not going anywhere if a star player is not coming back.

No thanks. I don't love the talent past the 5th pick with the exception of PJIII. Also many of us would have a great deal of difficulty trading away one of the only enjoyable players to watch last year.

Yeah, Biyombo is our best prospect at this point and seems to be a block machine. Bobcats are extremely high on him right now so it'd take a lot to move him and #7 and #8 certainly are not enough if we're giving up #2.
#7 + #8 for Bizmack and now you're onto something.

Bottom line is we need another pick in this draft in the top 20. How to achieve this without trading down the #2 is Cho's dilemma. Who on the team, excluding hendo, kemba, biz, and mullens, can land us a top 20?

The love for MKG is misguided and wrong. He's a hustle player and will contribute, but you CANNOT CURE A HORRIBLE SHOOTER! I don' tunderstand why so many people look at college players and suddenly become women...thinking they can CHANGE THEIR MAN!
You cannot change small hands, slow reaction, real bad footwork, bad attitude, no heart, and you cannot turn a bad shooter into a great one.
Robinson is the most complete player after Davis in this draft. Period. Doesn't mean we pick him at 2, but selecting Drummond, or MKG, or Beal is a reach at that position.

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

First off he is not a "HORRIBLE SHOOTER" it is just not a strength to his game. His midrange shot is pretty solid especially off the dribble. He just needs to work on his and catch and shoot three pointer. This is something that the more he works on the better he will improve.
I agree he will never lead the league in three point field goal percentage, but I think he can become solid in that area. Something right about 35% from three... I can live with that... He wont rely on that part of his game that much and as long as he learns to knock down the open look at decent rate he will be a great player.

I agree but there have been idiots before.
Bynum and Howard are both really, really dumb. Okafor had a great college GPA.

I see no chance of that happening, but I'd love to see what Cho would do with all those picks.

It wouldn't be possible anyways, the Raptors hold the 8th pick and haven't traded it to anyone, unless the hypothetical situation involves the Raptors trading their pick to Golden State who engineer it to Charlotte.

I don't know how smart Bynum is in the traditional sense but on a basketball court he's dumb as a rock. Screws up rotations, not closing out shooters, gets himself suspended over silly stuff, etc.

Re: 1st rd pick general discussion #2 overall (Poll Added)
Lamb is still my favorite player outside of Davis and I think he's the best option, but I could see the justification for any of Robinson, Beal, Gilchrist, or Drummond. It's hard to say any of them are the wrong choice.
Drummond if you want high upside, size, and athleticism
Robinson if you want toughness, rebounding, and post athleticism
Gilchrist if you want toughness, rebounding, and wing defense
Beal if you want offensive potential, toughness, and wing rebounding
They'd all be welcome in my book and I don't see the need to put any of them down in an attempt to prop another one up

Yea. I will be happy with anyone. But of those I think mkg would help us the least.
