No. We need the clear cut best player in this draft, whomever that end up being. I got my money on Shabazz Muhammad or Anthony Bennett right now.

I post that and I raise you...

Bennett has a True Shooting Percentage of .640 this season and a PER of 32.0 8-)

That still doesn't change the fact that he is a midget for his position while Mclemore is average height for his.

I can't front though this kid has a chance to be something special, and I would not be surprised at all if Cho has someone at every single UNLV game.

But Bennett might be available at 4 after Shabazz, Noel and McLemore...

So would you trade Shabazz for Bennett plus pick 10?

The draft boards will change. I don't care if the best player available is McLemore. Whoever should be the consensus #1 overall pick, we need him.

I'm just obliged that there's not a point guard receiving notoriety as a possible top pick. I didn't feel like debating whether or not if Kemba should be our future PG of the franchise.

By the time the NBA draft rolls around, Noel will not go past #2. To suggest that a star recruit freshman Center who is averaging nearly 5 blocks, 10 rebounds, and 10 pts a game on 58% shooting will drop past 2 in a weak draft is insane. He is a better prospect than Drummond

Agreed. The way the draft is now, I think it's something like:

Tier 1: More or less can't miss
Muhammad
McLemore
Bennett

Tier 2: Should be good but dependent on situation
Noel
Zeller
Carter-Williams
Poythress

Tier 3: solid players but unlikely to break out
Len
Cauley-Stein
Porter
McCollum* has tier 2 talent but due to injury I bumped him here
Plumlee
McAdoo
and so on

By no means set in stone, just my personal observations. My only DO NOT WANTs at this point are Goodwin and that McDermott guy.

I agree but I can see him falling to #3. That's his furthest that I can see him falling in the draft if we can call it that.

And if there is no consensus #1 overall pick and the degrees of separation are minute and bound to roster configuration and team?

Drafting Anthony Bennett would be the best fit based on our need for frontcourt scoring without having to restructure our roster a bit and his shot blocking ability flies under the radar due to his offensive repertoire. Nerlens Noel would be the safe pick considering that he's the best defensive player in the draft and we're one of the worst defensive teams in the league.

I think our best pick is Nerlens. The reasons why are these.

1. He gives us a potential phoenomonal defensive center. (In the current guard driven nba it is more important that a center be able to play defense than score. Especially since we have a guard like Kemba.

2. He gives us the option of giving up on Biz should we choose. (Biz still has plenty potential should we decide not to wait having Nerlens opens up trade possibilities.

3. By drafting a top position of need early it makes us more flexible to reach on a player based on potential with the Portland pick.

4. We know that he is not going to come in and make us so good that we miss out on a high pick in the 14 draft.

If the bobcats draft another player that can't create his own shot I am going to toss my tv out the window... Noel is not an option he just can't be.

I really like Noel but there are going to be a slew of bigs with potential around that PDX pick. I think it's far more likely that a Adams, Gobert, Cauley-Stein, Len, McAdoo, Dieng is around that pick than a 2 that can create his own offense.

So it's Muhammad/McLemore or bust for me right now.

Noel strikes me as a Tyson Chandler/DeAndre Jordan/JaVale McGee type - and just can't get excited about using a #1 overall pick on that.

Yep, I have him in the Chandler meets Noah mold. While he's not a particularly good scorer for a big, like Tyson, he has some ability to take a few dribbles and make good passes, like Noah.

So he's not totally useless on offense unless he's setting screens or catching lobs. He has a bit of team value.

Cho drafts for talent and trades for need. Noel is definitely an option.

Monta Ellis, Nick Young, OJ Mayo, Kevin Martin, and JR Smith

There is actually someone in this draft that gets you excited about using the #1 pick on them?

We need to draft a big that can score, no if, and, or but about it. We have a total imbalance between our backcourt and frontcourt scoring. ANTHONY BENNETT!!!
