We're not getting sucked into Lin vs. Kemba debates, feel free to take that discussion to GB or the Nets board.

I want to see at LEAST 60 games from MKG this year. Hoping for much closer to 82.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

well... i did not start it... I just envisioned a versatile lineup of 6 two-way players who can defend at least 2 positions until someone jumped in...

Correct, spitballing lineups that include Lin are pointless and will almost inevitably lead to comparisons of Kemba vs. Lin. Lin is gone by his own volition, time to move on.

for some reason there isn't a tweet or an article out yet, but there's a new Woj podcast with MKG that has appeared on my podcast feed. Woj's podcasts with current players tend to be blah (and that's no fault of his own, I mean, current players are usually boring in the media) but I'm still very excited about this one. Cool for MKG to get such exposure and to be already at a point where he can be a guest on a podcast. He's come a long way since his rookie year and those speech problems.

It's 33mins long. I suppose most of us know the stuff they talk about but it's still a decent listen. The conversation got interesting for me personally towards the end where they talk about MKG's place on such a 3-pointer oriented team.

Edit: Here it is on Twitter

MKG is the Hornet I'm looking forward to the most this season. I think he's really going to surprise people with his new shooting.

If he can hit 3's at 35% or more, the sky is the limit with this team. Please stay healthy MKG.

At 35% on a decent volume, teams have to actually defend him out there. You thought he got to the rim pretty easily before? Wait till defenders have to respect his shot and then he just blows past them for a layup. I'd be salivating if it wasn't so god damn dry in North Dakota.

The key to unlocking his potential is creating impossible cross-matches as an offensive pnr handler and a defensive pf. I'm betting that's his path and we'll get a heavy dose this year anchoring the 2nd unit.

As long as he's not unnecessarily banging down low with Zach Randolph or a similar power forward, I'm perfectly fine with MKG getting a chunk of his time at the 4. But we need MKG with the starters so that he defends starters.

Be nice if Pete could post a video of him shooting instead of teasing us with pictures.

Jesse Blancarte: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Charlotte Hornets

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was taken with the second pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and has established himself as one of the NBA’s best wing-defenders. Unfortunately, injuries have limited Kidd-Gilchrist to just 62 total games over the last two seasons.

If Kidd-Gilchrist is close to 100 percent healthy entering the upcoming season and has worked out some of the kinks in his jump shot, I expect him to have his best season yet. He is already a strong slasher, finishes well around the rim and, of course, is a monster on defense. With some added range and experience, Kidd-Gilchrist has the chance to be this year’s breakout player.
