What does being 7 foot tall have to do with anything when you don’t play like a 7 footer?

Case in point: Primoz Brezec was 7 feet tall.

Because you can shoot over people? Also just any size that can shoot 40% from 3 on our pass heavy team would be welcome. Gives us the ability to really spread it out if we play Lauri at the 5 in spots with PJ at the 4

Did Zeller provide some kind of offensive game we’ve all missed? If he hit a three or even attempted one, it was notable. Lauri is another shooter we add to the mix to help us score points. He should not start at the 5, he should play mostly at the 4. I’m saying he and PJ can play some at the same time and you’d have quality scoring and shooting at all 5 positions at once without being undersized anywhere. Think big, slam!

Sure. BUT - Turner has a contract with another team and gets paid 18 million so we would have to trade some valuable pieces and likely pay more money to sign him. Maybe it is not an option?

More examples of what the young man can do. Whose to say he’s done? A good team and development could create the star he was thought to be by many.

I was there and he destroyed Zeller. Lauri, is no Zeller. Only just turned 24 and was shooting 50% plus with 19 and 6 avgs last year. Has Cody ever averaged more then like 12?

I understand what Markkenen brings but every roster spot represents an opportunity cost and I'd rather see those other young bigs get the playing time

I don't know what we have in Thor, but Markkanen is a far superior talent to both Carey and Richards. He can play with PJ, Kai, and Miles depending on matchups.

All 3 of those guys are still young, we don't need to have 6 frontcourt players all on rookie deals. Consolidating and running with Plumlee, PJ, Bridges, Kai, and Lauri playing the 4 and 5 is more than enough depth.

I'm still not in love with our frontcourt depth. We added Plumlee and a possible long-term answer in Kai, but outside of Plumlee our experience is lacking.

I'm trying to figure out how to make a Lari deal possible with us committing the rest of our remaining cap space to Oubre.

There are a lot of estimates floating around but *in theory* they could still pick up Lauri if moves are ordered as followed:

1. Enter free agency with 12 contracts + Graham's cap hold
2. Use cap space to sign Oubre/trade for Plumlee
3. Use Graham in sign-and-trade to acquire Lauri at similar money
4. Sign Ish to Room MLE

The numbers - and roster spaces - get tight, so we're gonna need either a trade or a couple cuts to make it all work.
