Guys picked after him that hold any kind of real value: Knight, Kemba, Klay, Morris Twins, Kawhi, Vucevic, Shumpert (lol), Tobias Harris, Faried, Reggie Jackson, Jimmy Butler, Parsons. There's no way you can convince people that Biz was the best pick with Kemba, Klay, and Kawhi still on the board, but you can say the same thing about just about every draft ever. But I'm thrilled with his potential on the defensive end of the floor and really has a chance to be something special. He's still younger than a lot of current college players, so he definitely has that going for him.

Steve Clifford said Brendan Haywood still can't do anything weight-bearing on basketball court. Have to wonder whether he plays this season

I started reading Phil Jackson's book, [i]Sacred Hoops[/i,] and a Bill Cartwright quote struck me:

"A great basketball team will have trust. I've seen teams in this league where the players won't pass to a guy because they don't think he is going to catch the ball. But a great basketball team will throw the ball to everyone. If a guy drops it or bobbles it out of bounds, the next time they'll throw it to him again. And because of their confidence in him, he will have confidence. That's how you grow."

Gee, guess who I thought of when I read it?

Biyombo is a massive disappointment from what we all thought he would be at the end of his 3rd year in the league. That is indisputable. He is going to be a nice role player, but thats it. I think its time that all of us come to terms with this.

Biz is too good of a rim protector for me to give up on him. On top of that his shooting mechanics look decent. It would be one thing if his shot was horrid but he look like he could be at least a 10ppg player easy. He'll be OK. He does OK when he come into the game. It doesn't help his case when refs don't give him calls tho.

This may make me an ****, but I'm hoping to keep Biz around for a very affordable second contract. I think if he gets a couple more years he's going to be very productive - he's still only 21 years old. Still LOTS of potential.

I'm actually excited about Biz.

If you told me when we drafted him that nearing the end of his third season, he would be the top rim protector in the NBA statistically, a top ten screener and be a much improved rebounder I'd be pumped.

So yeah, I'm pumped.

I thought that was a given when he was drafted. His offense is still whats troubling.

I mean I'm guessing he wouldn't mind getting paid

But yeah, I guess when people start throwing out all the bust talk it suggests to me that they don't want to keep him around. Maybe wrong about that.

i never expected him to be much offensively, but this is actually roughly where I expected him to be after three years, and why I was excited when we drafted him.

It's just a select few. The vast majority of us realize that Biz does what he does in his limited minutes.

I thought he'd be a good rim protector but he's statistically the best in the league, better than Hibbert, Noah, Howard, Chandler, Gasol etc.

I thought he's be good garbage man and screen setter, he's top ten in effective screens in the league which is amazing in 14.7mpg.

In terms of rebounding, he's nearly averaging what he was as a rookie in half the minutes which is an achievement.

Per36 he's averaging 7.9/12.2/0.2/2.8/0.2 on .607 from the field and .538 from the charity stripe.

This guy is going to be very, very good imo.

If were going by per 36 numbers Zeller is an all star. I just thought he would be way better going into his 4th season in the league. Still struggles to catch passes and finish, has good form on his jumper, but it wont go down in the 3 attempts hes had this year. I still have faith in him, but we can all agree that after his triple double vs Dwight his rookie year we all thought he would be better.

Zeller's per 36 numbers do not make him a all-star. Lol
