Is there any possibility we flip Ridnour unguaranteed deal for T. Jones ? According to Stein, they are looking to shed salary to position for Love or LMA. Their 18th pick is apparently very available as well.

So, with yesterday's poor draft, we will soon see the Tank as our starting PF. We need to trade from our surplus of carbon copy bigs and get a PG. I really do not want Mo back here. Any ideas? I am too disgusted to try and find an option... :nonono:

Marv for Calderon could probably be done. No need to worry about keeping our expiring contracts now, because no free agent in their right mind would join this malfunction of an organization

I almost expect to see Marv for Calderon happen. And now that the Knicks have Grant to take over I hope to see a Kaminsky for Porzingis swap added on top of it. They have to give up an extra asset for us to take on the additional year of Calderon's contract and Porzingis is the best asset they have. We add our first next year to to make up the value difference. They don't have a first next year, so that should be pretty valuable to them. If we do that last night will be completely forgiven.

Kemba/Calderon
Batum/Lamb/Daniels
Batum/Hairston
Zeller/Porzingis
Jefferson/Hawes/Biyombo

We should just make an offer for Carmelo at thus point. He is pissed at the Knicks front office. We are obviously vacating our supposed patient rebuild program to make playoffs, so it is a perfect fit. They get young talent, expirings, and/or draft picks. We get that scoring machine we need. One thing for me though big Al has to be part of the salary offset whether the Knicks use his expiring for cap room next year or they flip him to a 3rd team.

Big Al, Marvin, Kaminsky, and future picks

Kemba / FA / Roberts
Batum / Lamb
MKG / PJ
Carmelo / Zeller
Biz / Hawes

That would be a fun team to watch even if Melo is one of my least favorite players.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Marvin Williams for Jarrett Jack

We take on long term money but we need a legit backup PG.

Marvin and Roberts deserve DNP's.

We traded for Jack last season in the failed 3 way deal with OKC, so we like him.

I'd be ok with that. They did just pick up Steve Blake, so either Blake or Jack should be available.

Yep count me in on Jack for Marvin. But nobody in this organization is trading the tank at this point. Cho acknowledged that MJ was pushing for him, and they turned down a pile of picks from NY cause they wanted Winslow, so their heels are dug in on Frank.

I'm disappointed that Charlotte missed out on the opportunity to trade for Greivis Vasquez, but I doubt Cho would've been willing to match that price of a protected 1st rounder that Milwaukee exchanged with Toronto for his services. Kidd must want a backup plan in case MCW don't cut the rug again

I had forgotren about Jack. So Collison, Jack, or Calderon in order for Marvin.

Collison is the most expensive but would make us better than the others can. Jack should be easy to get considering the upgrade over Brian Roberts. Calderon is not enough of an upgrade for me.

What about Avery Bradley? His price is up there with Collison but he's a damn good combo guard who can shoot the 3.

Collison is not a realistic option IMO.

Collison, Bradley, Jack, Calderon, and there are some free agents we may look at,

Mo, Aaron Brooks, Jemeer Nelson, CJ Watson, Jeremy Lin

I dont think we will get a PG that is that good for Marvin, if anyone trades for him they just want his expiring contract.

Devin Harris, 3 years left on deal 4 million per year
Calderon, 2 years left 7.5 million per year

are two that could be possible, ask for another asset for taking on their longer deals. both are upgrades from Rob for sure.

I think Calderon makes the most sense, but would NYK move him without getting a PG in return? They have Grant and Larkin and Galloway, so maybe they have enough going on there. Don't know their team as well.

they have plenty of cap space to sign a good starter
