Have a feeling that Taj Gibson may be the manifestation of our rumored interest in Morris.

The 3rd highest paid Hornet is...

Grant Williams, at slightly above MLE.

This is a very, very young rotation capable of losing very many games.
.
And we just drafted an 18 year old who was one of the youngest players in the draft.

They aren't going to spend real money on the final roster spot.

And Taj Gibson is the center version of Ish, except it happened while capable centers were still on the table, not at the eleventh hour when all PG were gone. That that I prefer either way. I prefer a better C3 capable of stepping in as a C2.

Are you trying to compete for a playoff spot this season?

I still think we should tank for 1 more legit piece. This draft is loaded with multiple players who could be franchise changers. I wouldn't be mad at another bad season.

Would far prefer a 3rd center but worse ideas than Little on the cheap as a defensive minded backup 3/4. Not a great team defender but good on ball, can rebound, block shots, and hit the occasional 3.

I'd definitely give Little a shot, he's only 24 a lot of room for growth. Let Lee coach him up defensively apparently he's a good on ball defender just not too hot on team defence that's where coaching comes in.

But and it is a big but the most games he's played in a season is 54.

I missed this earlier, but it’s a slow time of year. Glad they could keep him on a two way. Thor is not likely to gain the skill set necessary to be rotation worthy, but he could carve out a decent “Break Glass In Case Of Emergency” role.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Filled it out too.

Notably, I gave the confidence ratings a 4. Which to me means hopeful, but still skeptical.

gave them all 3s because they really haven't done anything yet. they did all the typical stuff you do when you take over a trash organization. I'm encouraged by the fact the new owners gutted everything, but till i see things in action there's nothing to grade. Offseason player moves were underwhelming but probably not disastrous to the near future.

They’re “optimistic he’s going to be healthy” tells me everything I’ve been suspecting.

Mark Williams is NOT READY AND NOT HEALTHY.

He’s like that thing you broke and tried to put back together with gorilla glue. It looks decent and seems like it will hold, but what happens when it’s put back under pressure to support something?

Williams isn’t shown anywhere actually playing ball, banging, posting up, competing for boards. Why? HE IS NOT SURE HE CAN.

So if this is indeed so precarious a situation, why did we still draft Peterson’s pet project?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
