Of course a 3rd string PG is very replaceable. I don't like the idea of neither, Scott Machado or Myck Kabongo, on the Charlotte Bobcats because they haven't been productive enough for my liking whenever I've seen them. I think Charlotte should sign a young 3rd string PG with upside in case of the possibility of a Ramon Sessions departure, and both of those guys you mentioned fit that bill, but I'd rather they look elsewhere

I'm getting frustrated with the Hendo negotiations or the lack thereof. Let's just give Oden that money on a 2-year deal partially guaranteed and let Taylor start at SG, then sign a backup SG/SF like CDR for the minimum. We are already too crowded in the backcourt to distribute minutes fairly. Letting Hendo walk will fix that problem.

That's just part of the process with negotiation. I think the longer Hendo's team stretch this out, the less leverage he'll have.

I honestly believe Taylor can be a replacement for Hendo. Their game is pretty similar defensive-minded, athletic wings with poor handling and court vision. Shooting are on par, Hendo with midrange jumper and Taylor with the 3s. Then again it's always good to gather assets, just as longer as we're not signing Hendo to +8M.

Oden posted word for word what Tyrus did earlier (not a retweet) about "getting his followers up" before making an announcement. Tyrus basically said they'll both be announcing via twitter.

Hell yes. We've still got the room exception to burn once Hendo signs (if he does). The worst that happens is we have another Reggie Williams on our hands, that just eats $2,500,000 off our cap for a year or two but rarely plays. If he plays, then great it's more bench depth, if doesn't, then oh well.

Pure awesomeness. Please make this happen.

Wouldn't it be great if they offered him the MLE or something?

I know this wasn't meant as a serious post, but in case anybody was wondering whether they actually could do this - the answer is no. They only were able to use a mini-MLE because of the Bird Rights they held to JR Smith.

Devin Harris is un-signing with the Mavs after the signings of Ellis and Calderon. Guess their deal wasn't made official yet.

@ESPNSteinLine: Mavs' deal w/Monta Ellis and Devin Harris audible means Dallas still has wiggle room to sign big man. Samuel Dalembert is their top target

@ESPNSteinLine: Calderon & Monta are Mavs' starting guards. Team remains interested in D-Harris. Israeli rook Mekel takes PG reigns for Vegas w/Larkin out

Repots now that Harris has a toe injury & that the Mavs will not be signing him for that 3 year $9 mil deal.

Honestly I wouldn't mind the Bobcats jumping in here and signing him to play SG alongside Kemba.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Devin Harris would be an awesome pickup, even with Hendo's cap hold we still have 2m to play with I believe.

Harris would effectively be a able to back up both guard spots and give us the freedom to move either Gordon/Sessions for the right deal.

This is of course assuming that Gerald doesn't come back.

If hes not the best hes definitely in the top 2-3 as far as offensive post moves.

Mostly agree.

Easily the best offensive center in the league. I'd go with Aldridge and Lee before him but they are primarily power forwards.
