Such a weird situation. They did nothing to shore up the position but haven't given any resounding indication that he's back (lol) and ready to go

Zach Lowe should just come out and say he's a Hornets fan

So if you got your bounce back, then the know-it-alls were correct that you did in fact lose it

It's the only logical conclusion and I love the great man. Screw the rest of the national media though.

Can't find the bally sports thread *I think one existed*, but apparently Amazon prime is in talks to do their games next year. Can't find the link at work though

Yep, read that it's going to cost $20/month. That's not a terrible price to listen to Dell and Eric on a service that doesn't suck.

I think the starting 5 of Melo, Green, Miller, Miles, and Mark could be really, really good if they actually stay healthy and have time to gel. Other than Miles that lineup has plus size at every position.

The bench rotation of Grant, Mann, Micic, Martin, and Richards isn't bad either (especially if Martin can play consistently).

it's honestly not a bad team if Mark and Melo can be counted on to play 70+ games. The problem is the cascading effects of even one single week without Mark to the rest of the rotation.

I like going for a bit more size with a Melo/Miller/Bridges/Grant/Mark starting five and a Micic/Mann/Green/Salaun/Richards second unit.

C/PF depth is going to do us in. Taj Gibson signing was strange, not sure he can contribute anymore. I guess there's the Diabate guy, but not sure he can play meaningful mins. I really wish they tried to upgrade C2 and bump Nick to C3. Or add a real rotational PF or wing. There's a lot hinging on the health of guys who have proven they are mostly never healthy.

So the Cavs signed Thor to a two-way. Is there anything he does well, or even passably well?

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

he physically looks the part
he's an adequate corner 3 shooter if open.
he defends well in spurts
thats about it
the foundation is there for a future rotation 3d forward. his finishing sucks. zero skills with ball. very inconsistent. he'll look like a rotation guy one minute, then like an avg gleaguer.

Give Away/Special Event Nights were just announced -

https://www.nba.com/hornets/news/hornets-unveil-theme-nights-giveaways-for-2024-25-season

Looks like the best nights are the opener vs Miami "Commemorative Giveaway" night and on MLK vs the Mavs aka Brandon Miller Bobblehead night!

I will be at both.....early

Training camp is at Duke this year.

Hopefully they have someone to spy on Cooper Flagg too.

Interested to see how the renovations look. I think most of the larger ones is next offseason.

Get it Big Mark, we all want to see the exact same thing.

I also want to say that there's no way in hell training camp would be held at Duke as long as Michael Jordan was the owner. He definitely isn't calling the shots anymore.
