Well, I hope I could survive some missed selections with having some secondary options (being from a slightly different cultural background helps in that case too), I don't even think there would be a lot clashes except some obvious and globally known eligible prospects.

Maybe we could try another format in the future like announcing some obscure/very limiting categories every week (or every few days) and let everyone else except the announcer of that round find best eligible one. With voting contest after deadline or with just comments during the round keeping it less competitive. Advantage of this would be less time needed, no problem with waiting for your pick, you would simple either have time to look for that category or not, without need to chekc the board for that exclusively - you would either miss that round or not. Wouldn't work with sport drafts but may be sutiable for this topic. Like it was said everyone participating is a winner.
