the thunders half court offense is so stagnant. its the same exact problems they had in the playoffs last year and its the same exact team, same coach, same style..... and unless something changes, most likely same results. if they were in the east i wouldnt put them in the top 4. but in the west, playing like last year might be good enough to get to the finals since the mavs and lakers got worse, spurs got older and clips arent ready yet.

and just start harden already. they are awful to watch when he isnt on the floor.

DJ Augustin - Harden - Durant - Ibaka - Perkins
With Cook as their 6th man

is a better line up for them than

Westbrook - Thabo - Durant - Ibaka - Perkins
With Harden as their 6th man

IMO

Here is what I propose:

Char out:
DJ Augustin
Gana Diop

Char in:
Leandro Barbosa
OCK 2012 1st round pick

OKC out:
Russell Westbrook
2012 1st round pick

OKC in:
DJ Augustin
Toronto 2012 unprotected 1st round pick

Toronto out:
2012 unprotected 1st round pick
Leandro Barbosa

Toronto in:
Russell Westbrook
Gana Diop

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=d7hvqyp

Bobcats:
Kemba – Barbosa – Higgins
Hendo – Hammer – Williams
Mags – UPS
DJW – Biz – T2
Boris – Mully – Mexicat

Thunder:
DJ – Maynor
Harden – Cook
Durant – Thabo
Ibaka – Collison
Perk – Nazzy – Cole

Raptors:
Westbrook – Jose
DeRozan – Forbes
Butler – Johnson
Amir – Davis
Bars - Maglorie

Why for us:
We get a 2012 1st rounder for DJ (likley lower half though) but manage to get out of Diop’s contract (Barbosa expires this season) allowing Kemba to dive into the deep end.

Why for the Thunder:
Better balance and a super high pick in 2012.

Why for the Raps:
They get their star in Westbrook and a defensive PG that Casey would LOVE.

Toronto would be crazy to make that trade right now. Westbrook isn't a difference maker for them, plus there are no guarantees he signs long term. Probably not. Toronto needs to be patient. Suck this season, get a top 5 pick and keep clearing the crap off their roster. Then Toronto can go out and build on top of a solid foundation of young talent. That team is a mess right now, do you seriously think Westbrook is going to be happy there? :noway:

OKC says no. They don't care about the pick because they're playing for a championship now and DJ is a serious downgrade on the defensive end and is a worse offensive player. It's one thing to score on a team that nobody takes seriously but its a whole other ballgame when teams are gunning for you each night. DJ would crumble in OKC and Durant would kick his ass and make him cry. However, this is a trade they might make at the end of the season if its a top 3 pick, but still doubtful. Rather trade Westbrook for really good veteran talent. If OKC was rebuilding then it would make more sense to get a top 3 pick.

I think he would because in TO he would be THE man - something I think he really longs for. He'd get an AMOUNT of attention and his marketability up here would be very attractive to him IMO. Not only that but he would get all the shots he could handle.

Toronto needs to be patient. Suck this season, get a top 5 pick and keep clearing the crap off their roster. Then Toronto can go out and build on top of a solid foundation of young talent.

Westbrook is a top 5 pick that has proven he can produce in the NBA. Adding Westbrook would help "build on top of a solid foundation of young talent" in a big, big way.

That team is a mess right now, do you seriously think Westbrook is going to be happy there? :noway:

Yes that team is a mess and yes I think he would be happy playing there because, like I said above, he would be THE man there - plus they have about a gazillion dollars in cap space coming their way so their total rebuild could start next summer rather than in 2-3 years time by adding FA's around him, DeRozan and Bargs.

OKC says no. They don't care about the pick because they're playing for a championship now and DJ is a serious downgrade on the defensive end and is a worse offensive player. It's one thing to score on a team that nobody takes seriously but its a whole other ballgame when teams are gunning for you each night
.
And there DJ would be teh 3rd option behind Durant and Harden. He would fill that role to a T. Not only that, but DJ is VERY good at getting his team mates the ball where they need it. That would automatically make the Thunder better while not losing anything on the dwefensive end because Harden is a top shelfdefender and he would move into the starting line up and they still have Ibaka and Perk backing him up.

Plus, if the OKC could land Drummond in the next draft......................................

I think Boris Diaw would be a great fit for OKC. They really need some more well-rounded, offensive savvy basketball players on their team and there is a glaring weakess of offensive talent in their PF/C rotation. Diaw would be their best passer, best low-post scorer, a solid shooter to add to their starting lineup, and would just add a much needed dynamic to their roster while not breaking the bank (not having to give up Westbrook, Harden, or Ibaka). I'm having a hard time coming up with any trades though. Here's my sort of half-baked one...

Charlotte in: OKCs '12 first, LACs '13 first, and a couple of expiring scrubs.
Charlotte out: Boris Diaw

OKC in: Diaw
OKC out: Sefolsha, 2012 first, Aldrich, Ivey

LAC in: Sefolsha, Aldrich
LAC out: 2013 first, Reggie Evans

getting my first look at the new and improved spencer hawes. very impressive. glad i picked him up for my keeper league last week. but doesnt he know you are supposed to have a career year BEFORE you sign the contract, not after.

he looks like he spent all lockout living with marc gasol and copying his game.

Better late than never I guess, so if out FO do decide to go after him it will be expensive now.

Zach Randolph took a bad hit to the knee. He may be out for a while. The Grizzlies may desperately gamble with a trade to bolster their frontcourt in hopes of remaining a contender.

I must admit, maybe it's just the UConn in me, but I think he could make this Bobcats team a contender.

PG Kemba Walker
SG Gerald Henderson
SF Rudy Gay
PF Boris Diaw
C Bismack Biyombo

I think the Grizzlies will likely make a hard push for DeMarcus Cousins though with Gay as the bait.

Do we really want a guy who is not a legit #1 option who is on 16m a year??

He will ruin our rebuild by making us too good to get a top 5 pick but still not going anywhere, also we would have 26m committed to our SF position between Maggette & Gay who are both scorers & not much else.
