Fake Trade Thread 2014-15

who says no in this trade?

twolves trade: love, rubio
twolves get: kyrie, thompson, varejao

cavs trade: kyrie, thompson, varejao
cavs get: conley, love

grizz trade: conley
grizz get: rubio, zeller

obvious answer is the grizz say no, but hang on... grizz follow that trade by signing pao gasol in free agency and they start rubio, pao and marc next year. i have been dying to see the spanish guys end up on the same team. rubio, lee, free agent shooter, pao, marc; allen 6th man

wolves get a legit superstar (in name) for love, although not sure if kyrie would have any interest in staying in minnesota long-term. kyrie, martin, brewer, thompson, pekovic

cavs get a vet point guard to help lead that team, instead empty stats kyrie. deng decides to hang around with love and conley. conley, waiters, deng, love, hawes?

what can i say, im bored.

if i was the cavs, i'd be doing back flips to get conley and kevin love for kyrie and thompson... assuming i had some indication love would stick around.

but more than anything, i just want to see rubio, and the gasol brothers on the same team.

The Cavs wouldn't do it because they're not trading Kyrie for anything short of Lebron or KD. They think he's a top 10 elite player in this league. I wasn't saying it on the premise as in that they shouldn't but instead on the basis that they wouldn't.

I don't think Kyrie has much of a choice but to extend with the Cavs for another 3-4 years unless his agent want to take the risk of signing a qualifying offer for a year.

That's why it wouldn't work too well if you send Biz out. A big reason why Minny can't get over the hump is b/c they have Euro Big Al alongside Love and no rim protection. Plus they already have Dieng so they don't need Biz either.

what do the lakers have to offer other than the 2014 1st round pick? wouldnt you rather have kyrie and thompson than the #6 pick (assuming the lakers dont move up, which they probably will)?

I think I would accept that trade if I was Charlotte, but McDermott wouldn't be my ideal prospect at 12th overall. I would take Zach LaVine or James Young. I typically would take Young over LaVine as the safer pick, but with Afflalo on board, the Hornets would be able to afford a year of grooming the rookie behind the veteran instead of throwing him in the fire, which would be great for a developing player like LaVine
