Vonleh is the one that scares me. I didn't like his shot chart, but his intrigue is that he could be a shooter. I agree though. Draft the talent.

If any one of the top 8 drop to us - Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Exum, Vonleh, Randle, Smart, or Gordon, you take him and don't ask any questions. You worry about the shooting later, because we still need talent.

So if Smart drops, you take him and pair him with Kemba. If Randle or Vonleh or Gordon drops, you pair him with Al up front. If Exum drops, you take him. I really hope we DON'T take Stauskas tonight, simply because one of these top 8 guys fell.

I would take Exum if he were to fall to us. I never put him in my depth chart because I assumed he'd be gone before 5

I kinda agree, but I think it's more of a top 7. I'm not sure about Gordon.

I'm starting to get nervous. Hope we don't screw this up. Should be an exciting night.

If Embiid falls to the Lakers at 7 Smart will still be on the board if the Payton to Sacramento rumor is true. If he's there we should definitely take him. He's a little on the short side for a 2 guard, but his 6'9 reach makes up for it. His advanced stats are too freaking good for us to pass on him, shooting needs be damned.

I would probably take anyone in the top 8 if they fall to us except Gordon(we need talent, but not his type of talent). If Embiid falls to us then something is majorly wrong with his medicals so I probably wouldn't take him either. Other than that I am all for the rest.

If Embiid falls to us, we have to pick him. I think we sort of lucked out with the 9th pick this year and it feels like we are playing with house money with it. Not only that but I think we can fill a need with the 24th pick at shooting guard.

I'd be conflicted if Smart fell. I like him, but it would be a really tough call.

I do think he's the most likely of the top 8 to fall.

Smart is undersized, not a great shooter. No real upside imo. I would take Exum, Gordo or Randle if they were to fall.

If Smart fell to #9, the 'smart' thing to do will be to take him and run, since it would be a steal. Smart might be the best perimeter defending guard I've seen since Gary Payton. I'd definitely put him above Tony Allen's peskiness. On top of that, Smart is a solid leader with unselfishness

I wouldn't go that far, but I do think I would take him as the BPA. I'd much rather have him than Payton for sure.

Gordon and Randle are both undersized as well, but unlike those two Smart has the wingspan to play his position.

If Smart fell to us but Stauskas was still available, it would be tough to pick. But I would likely go with Smart.

I would go that far, especially after I watched excerpts from the following video of Smart essentially making Exum quit

It was like watching a pitbull (Smart) take down a doberman pinscher (Exum)

If we were to draft Smart I think we would be in the same situation as we would be in if we select Payton. Could Smart play some SG? Yeah, but he would be a little undersized and he doesn't shoot that well. Would have to eventually choose between Walker and Smart in my opinion.

Either way he would be the most talented player by far at 9.

Isn't Cho's motto is to pick the BPA and trade for need? I would be shocked if Smart was there at 9 and we didn't pick him.
