Ridiculous. Since when are those bad stats for a second round pick in summer league? Moreover, in the first few games it was quite obvious that Graham and JOB were the primary scoring options.

Based on what? So you're just box score watching, but 29 points doesn't qualify as non-awful?

I liked what I saw from Bacon today. He displayed a controlled game as a solid ball handler that could create his own shot whether it was a jumper off the dribble or a strong finish at the rim.

To state the obvious, it would be so nice to hit the jackpot on a second round guy.

You can definitely see the Joe Johnson comparison, even if it is the homeless version. He has a talent for getting to the hoop, just hope he can carry that over against NBA competition.

Smooth shot, too. Though it's limited to mid-range right now, no reason to think he can't extend his range over time. Seems to have decent defensive instincts, and the frame to be a solid defender, just has to be wary of mental lapses.

If Bacon accomplishes nothing else other than making the FO view 2nd rounders as more than a quick path to draft night $$$ he will have done us all a valuable service.

You think a 15 ppg 4 rbg performance by a second round pick is terrible? You think your expectations might have been a little to high. Some are calling Bacon a steal at 40.

Still counts toward the MLE since it's for 3 years. Leaves just under $4.9M of MLE, with just over $2M left until the tax line.

Year 1: $815,615

Rookies almost always have poor field goal percentages. He didn't miss every shot. He scored in every game even when Graham was dominating.
