Man, the East has been trash for so long and then this offseason happens, where half the good players go West... and just when you thought the East couldn't get any worse... four minutes into the season Boston loses one of their best players... WTF????

Lin just went down with a knee injury. Hard to tell what happened but he looked like he was in shock for a second, felt at his knee, and just broke down. Hard to watch.

Dammit Lin just looking shocked and repeatedly saying "I'm done. I'm done. I'm done." was more brutal than the Hayward injury for me.

Just found out about this. Ugh that sucks so bad, will always root for Lin no matter where he is. Hopefully it’s not the ACL. I think if it’s a dislocation (which you would feel right away) it could be an easier injury to recover from. Feel bad for him catching the injury bug since joining the nets though.

So, if Lin's injury is serious, Boston's trade of BKN draft pick looks even worse. Would hate to be a Boston fan right now.

Stuff like this happened to me nearly every year. It's why I completely stopped playing fantasy. There was a time about 3 or 4 years ago where 9/15 of my players were out with injury. It was the year Kevin Durant was hurt, and I had picked him up. I didn't have enough healthy players to field an active roster.

Damn Jeremy, I'm sorry dude.

At least he was smart enough to get a P.O. on his contract. I hope he's able to come back strong next season and earn another good deal.

On another matter the Davis, Cousins pairing is not looking good. Cousins looked really good, but Davis was horrible. I think it might be smart for the Pelicans front office to sell high on AD and build around Cousins. If they can get Love and the Nets pick for Davis and get Cousins to commit they should seriously consider it.

Lin just can't catch a break since joining the Nets. Crazy, for the Hornets he was kind of an iron man. He played banged-up some nights but he stayed on the floor. I don't think it's the minutes of starting, it was a freak injury. It didn't even look like much, but I guess he put weight all on his knee in an awkward twist and that's what ruptured his patella tendon. But his reaction was heart-breaking, he knew it once the initial shock wore off.

This is pretty interesting. Don't think they would even consider it because of how good AD is and has the chance to be, but could be the right move. If I'm NOLA I'm asking for more than just Love and the Brooklyn first. I'd probably try to get them to throw in Crowder as well. A core of Holliday, Crowder, Love, Cousins, plus the BK pick doesn't look half bad. Still hard to see it happening though.

Aaron Rodgers, Hayward, and Lin I can handle. But the GOAT too? Stock up folks the apocalypse is upon us.

Pistons having 9500 fans on opening night in a new arena is rather sad.

not sure I trust that 9500 #. Arena looked decently full.

this story says nearly sold out

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/21072771/nba-pistons-make-winning-return-downtown-detroit

"Detroit," the familiar voice rang out into a microphone, much to the delight of the near-sellout crowd of almost 21,000 in attendance, as "Lose Yourself" blared on the brand new speakers. "Welcome them back for the first time in almost 40 years to our city, to my city, to your city! Make some noise for the Detroit Pistons. Let's go!"

was there really a 10K gap between tix sold and actual attendance?
