Devonte still hasn't had a season where hes shot 40%+ from the field. In his three seasons since leaving Charlotte hes shot 36.8%, 38%, and 35.2%. Hes also 6'1" and awful at defense. Please don't bring him back to this team.

Yeah, not interested in Graham anymore. Would be down with DSJ but I wouldn't dump Micic over preseason.

I mean his efficiency isn't great but doesn't help his raw FG% that almost all his shots are 3s. of course that has its own issues. but his career TS is higher than Micic. I dunno, the GM and coach has the most insight into what this dudes problems are and how motivated he is to fix them. he's obviously fat and shaky in confidence compared to when he got here.

I am happy to give him some more time unless he is sandbagging it at training.

they gave Green more time off after the Olympics, hopefully its just fatigue affecting him.

Yeah, I would hang on to Micic. Guys are going to have stretches where they play great and other times they are not as hot. No need to over react to Mann being great so far. Micic is insurance in case LaMelo goes down and Brandon is good enough to take us somewhere.

I would also still personally prefer to have two of Mann, Micic, and LaMelo on the floor at all times. Those are pretty much the three guys I trust to handle the ball.

Trust me it's better that you don't know. lol. But the gist of it is, Serbian film is often regarded as the most disgusting depraved movie ever made. Essentially they made a movie for the sole purpose of making it as offensive as possible.

He might have more airballs than makes so far

Apparently per Reddit there was an unfriendly exchange between Lee and Micic as he was getting pulled for the last time. I didn’t see it live but it wouldn’t surprise me. Hopefully Peterson uses the few days break we have to find a replacement

We are supposed to carefully manage our longterm assets considering we are not built to contend right now, right (Brandon sore butt, Mark sore foot)? And it's okay if we miss the playoffs because we get to keep our 1st owed the Spurs, right?

So why the hell not run NSJ on the second unit? Because it will result in more losses in a season where losing/missing the playoffs is practically baked in?

Micic didn't take his conditioning seriously in the offseason. That's disrespectful. The entire team, all his teammates can see him air balling out there, stuck to his defenders with superglue.

Lee should stop rewarding that. There should never be minutes gifted by default. It sends the wrong message to the players about work ethic.

We don't have a PG2? Mann can do a better job there. I don't care what you call Mann. You can call him combo guard if it makes you feel better, but he's the one I want bringing up the ball. And NSJ plays alongside him, ALL of Micic' minutes.

And (my opinion of course) an often prolific playmaker is hunting shots because he can't create separation off the dribble to make plays for teammates. So he's trying to draw defenders away from teammates by hitting shots, even shots where he is guarded and not wide open.

Why is a pure point guard relegated to hunting his own shots?

He's in terrible shape.

And he drinks.

I'm surprised at how many different ways you can beat this dead horse.

The horse ran around the court 10 minutes last night. As long as the horse is alive getting minutes, fans should continue to beat the horse to oblivion.

Seems like some people are getting way too invested in the outcome of every single game like they think its a title run season or something.

Micic has looked awful and I also hope they find a replacement at some point, but its honestly not that huge of a deal atm. I do hope they give Dennis Smith Jr a run though. I think his combo of PoA defense, playmaking, and ability to push the pace and create havoc, would be fun/interesting on this squad. Its not a perfect fit cuz he compounds some of their spacing issues, but he hits enough of their needs that I think it could be good enough for now if hes still on top of his game.

No big deal. Micic is just owed 15 million dollars.

If the goal is to spend more to reduce his negative impact, then the coach is not holding the player(s) accountable. The GM is.

Youre not wrong about Micic, but I just don't think its the end of the world.

This team very likely doesn't have it in them to win a playoff series this season even if everything broke right. In order to get to that level this year they would need to trade significant draft capital to improve the roster, and remember that any move like that made with the intention of making the playoffs this season basically has an added tax of them losing a lottery pick this season (which they also currently can't trade). Even if you want to accelerate the timeline, it still makes more sense to do it after this season when they will also ideally have a valuable lottery pick added to their collection of assets that can be traded.

I would just relax and enjoy that LaMelo is cooking and your guy Tre Mann has been a lot of fun. I think they are nearing the end of the rebuild phase, but it doesn't make sense to try to go all in now. All the incentives are for them to hold off until this offseason before entering the next phase of the process.

We're also like 4 days into our season and played 3 games in 4 days. We haven't had time to make any meaningful adjustments. Perhaps we should get a little farther into the season before we throw shade at the FO for keeping the backup PG that we were all thrilled with last year.

Like for real just read the last 2 pages in this thread. The narrative completely flipped on this guy over a very small sample size. Give it some time.
