mann is not quite what i expected
- he is much more east-west, which is needed, gets that paint touch that creates havoc
- very good in 2-man p/r with big
- gets some tunnel vision looking for role man
- more like (less explosive) monk than nsj. nothing like bouk, because mann can actually dribble.

i think having grant and other new vets pushing miles is fantastic. miles played with more energy, force and purpose than we've seen all year

The improved ball movement is no small factor in all of this as well. I see Bridges making passes he hasn't made this year, simply from the new additions.

Amazing what a competent bench can do for you.

Shots fired at Ish Smith. Who else could it be?

I just wonder if we had to wait till the deadline to do moves like this. We could have salvaged the season if we had addressed the bench and useless veterans back in December, and it was obvious then

Could we have even traded PJ Washington for Grant Williams, Seth Curry and a top-2 protected 1st in December?

Any potentially limiting rules aside, when a team wants to trade doesn't always align with when trade targets want to trade.

Negotiations may have begun in December once we realized our bench was junk.

I've thought about this as well, makes sense to me that the new owners wanted to give plenty of time for people to keep their jobs and used thursdsy as their own deadline. I expected nothing major to change all season so definitely happy to be wrong.

Alternative thought, the team wanted to make changes but couldn't find many dance partners willing to pull the trigger until Thursday.

Terry the third was the first person I thought of but thought maybe PJ. It's weird if it's Ish because he was the main facilitator in that happening, no?

I was joking about Ish.

But I'm not totally sure who he was talking about. I think it's likely Bryce/NSJ/Bouknight etc. Terry actually had good passing numbers and PJ played the same as he always does.

Probably not a coincidence that Cliff benched the whole bench to go with the new guys as soon as they got here.

Ah, you got me. Admittedly would be weird for him to be alluding to Terry who was traded a while ago, but its who i first thought of. Bouknight never played (no complaints here) so you are probably on the right track with Bryce/NSJ, but seems kinda polar form to say about a guy on the roster that he sometimes could've just sat.

Terry got some assists but there was certainly a a stickiness with the ball and slower processing speed than you’d want, but he was never supposed to be a PG

had to be terry (who cliff loved). but terry is serious ball stopper. racking up personal assists is not good indicator of ball stopping, possible the opposite. i'd rather see 3 guys with 5 assists, than one guy with 15.

nsj is obv a huge ball stopper right now
pj just loves to shoot, like oubre

but im thrilled to see melo next to better passers. need to take advantage of his tremendous offball sills as well.
