We are getting demolished inside on both ends of the floor. Same deal every night.

This. We’re contorting ourselves to make up for our lack of size. Just because Diabate is having some games does not mean we’re not being taken advantage of.

Anyone who thinks our lack of center depth doesn’t impact every other play is kidding themselves.
Buddy Im with calls him Melo Ball Hog.

Jeff - you made the roster worse. Green is just a straight up failure of a trade. He runs cardio, nothing else.
Tidjane is at least 2 years from being even playable, let alone below average, let alone decent.
Lee continuing to start Taj is hilarious. As is the refusal to play NSJ. We have gotten worse, despite LaMelo playing like an absolute superstar. Concerning.

I mean off the top of my head anyone other than Melo can't currently create their own shot other than Mann and he was out. I found it commendable how he tried. He can only do so much. His passing can only do so much when you get a guy a wide open look but never converts. Can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink.

Melo played very well and it didn't matter at all.
Think it says all we need to know about how Lee views Micic that he tried to play a lineup of Cody - Green - Seth - Salaun - Diabate before he gave up and put Micic in.
The turnover fest in the 3rd quarter really did us in though. We already had scoring issues, but can't score when you keep giving them the ball.
The biggest meta issue I had with this game though is Brandon still really struggling to create off the dribble. He does not look comfortable in ISO situations. That's going to be a major limiter of his and our success until he gets that sorted out. I get sometimes shots won't fall, but he has got to tighten that handle.

Granted, my game mates were Magic fans and had nicknames for everyone. Sloppy Joe for Joe Ingles was my personal favorite. I get that Melo does what he needs to do and has been great at it, but I also get that a bunch of guys standing around the perimeter while one guy dribbles back and forth around screens is not an offense that is going to work. When you say that no one other than Melo can get off their own shot and it seems our offense is reliant on guys 'getting their own' and if there's only one guy that can 'get his own' maybe this isn't the offense we should be running. This - without a center.

MPM wrote:BTW - tiny, tiny thing. During warmups - pre-game, halftime, etc. - Salaun was the last one to leave. When everyone left for the bench, he always wanted to hoist up an extra three or three. Small thing, but something I noticed.
