Parker is going to a rebuilding situation either way. Coach K is phoning it in and going the Calipari route of stacking his team with super freshmen. Look how inconsistent UK has been the last 2 years, Duke could just as easily be that as be really good.

Dukes returning 3 starters, 4 if Parker stays.

Jefferson, Sulaimon and Cook, i don't think Parker stays tho and neither will Hood

Duke Roster 2014

PG-Jones-Cook- Pagliuca
SG-Sulaimon-Allen-Jones
SF-Ojeleye-Allen
PF-Jefferson-Winslow
C-Okafor-Plumlee

comparison with arch rival UNC 2014

PG-Berry-Britt-Davis
SG-Paige-Pinson
SF-Tokoto-Jackson
PF-Johnson-Hicks-Simmons-
C-Meeks-James-Hubert

set once again for excellent games between the two

Cook sucks, Jefferson is too small, and Sulaimon is a hothead. And they have no bench. Then they have to find minutes for the freshmen unless they're overrated, blah blah blah.

Jabari should go to the NBA. Duke will be just as likely to get bounced out by next year's Mercer with or without him.

Idk man Duke already has two of the top five guys in the next recruiting class. Not to mention the number two player in the country is still deciding on whether to go to Duke or not. I think Duke is going to be the best team in the ACC by far next year.

It really depends. How will K use a real big man. Does he change his whole style of play and become more post centric or does he keep with the jack up threes strategy? How good are these freshman? A lot of the guys this year have been slightly disappointing, not bad but not as dominant as they were expected to be. Who would have thought UVA would be what they were this year or that UNC minus Hairston would have done what they did. With 18 year olds it is almost impossible to tell. Plus if Parker and Hood leave they don't have a ton returning talent wise. I see UVA and UNC challenging Duke for the top next year. Oh and don't forget ACC add Louisville next season too.

Don't look now but the Blazers are only 3 losses ahead of a lottery team.

Watching that pick is more fun imo.

It's a glorious catastrophe waiting to happen.

Dream scenario we get pick 14, draft McDermott, James Young or Zach LaVine and the Pistons pick carries over to a loaded draft with Okafor, Embiid and Jabari Parker.

I'm starting to warm on Detroit.

I've certainly never seen our board root for them so emphatically.

i want their pick this year so damn bad. They will figure it out this summer and be a playoff team next year. One of Monroe and Smith will be traded. It's ridiculously obvious that that duo won't work next to Drummond. I think even their FO can and has figured that out.

I actually really, really like Andre Drummond. In three years, he and Demarcus Cousins are going to be the best centers in the league. Davis will be a power forward.
Other than Drummond, I could care less about anyone else on that roster. It's a mess in every sense of the word. It takes effort to construct a roster that badly mismatched. Jennings and Smith? Really?

ironic that Dumars already being mentioned to take Cavaliers GM job, apparently next door neighbor to Dan Gilbert, match made in heaven those two

If that means Cavs will always pick 7-9th for ages then good. They deserve no more lottery luck.

Portland lost again. It would be amazing if they missed the playoffs giving us the 14th pick or so.

The Blazers lose to the Magic by 10.

The Blazers now have just 2 fewer losses than the team slotted to pick 14 in the 2014 NBA Draft!!!!

It is definitely time to get excited about this pick.

If this pick ends up a lottery pick and the Pistons pick a top 5 pick in 2015, plus we sign another big free agent like Luol Deng or Lance Stephenson.

We can have a special blend of vets, prime players and young prospects.
