Re: Welcome To The Bobcats: Cody Zeller
This guy has serious game and even as our fourth option will be contending for ROY imo.
He just does everything well, he has his weaknesses obviously but the things he is 'bad' at he is actually decent in.
I said it before the draft and I'll stand by it that Zeller is the epitome of what Cho likes in a baller.

He needs some strength, but he's not exactly small. He's got some decent sized biceps on him. I loved the pick then and now I definitely love it.

Hahah. Gotta love how good he is with his money. Making +$3M/yr yet he's driving a $25K Dodge, living in what looks to be a 800sqft condo (which I'm sure he rents), doing this own laundry and eating frozen pizzas.
Man, is he cheap! LOL

Re: Welcome To The Bobcats: Cody Zeller
NBA GM Survey smiles on Z-Rex a bit. Oladipo is the runaway candidate for ROY, but GM's have Zeller #2 in ROY rankings and #2 in terms of who will be the best player in 5 years:

Re: Welcome To The Bobcats: Cody Zeller
I find it funny that Dwight Howard won most impactful acquisition two offseasons in a row.

Re: Welcome To The Bobcats: Cody Zeller
Watched a few more of those videos.
Bennett's is called "The Weight of Number One"
Oladipo says: "I've always been overshadowed, overlooked, overrated...WAIT!!"
Porter: "To me, losing is definitely the worst part of the game. I HATE it."
McLemore's bedroom is probably only slightly smaller than Zeller's house.
Pretty entertaining stuff.

Great to see him getting recognition in the survey.
He's going to be a very good player in this league.
I think he has a great chance at being the best player from this class.

Re: Welcome To The Bobcats: Cody Zeller
Cody Zeller | F/C | Charlotte Bobcats | Readiness: 57.5 | Projected Ceiling: 67.5
Al Jefferson spares Zeller the ordeal of being thrown to the fire as a center in the NBA. He can focus on developing as a power forward first, allowing him to get stronger before moving up a position. Offensively, he's probably one of the most ready to contribute rookies, as an above-the-rim athlete who can run pick and roll, while still being skilled enough to catch at the elbow, face up and drive the ball, or catch and shoot from about 18 feet. He's also an above-average passer, which should allow for some high-low action with Jefferson.
The Rookie Readiness Scale: The scale is based on number grades given in each of five categories:
• Physical attributes
• Offense
• Defense
• IQ
• Intangibles
Rating | Role
90+- Superstar
80-89- All-Star
70-79- High-Level Starter
60-69- Rotation Starter
50-59- Rotation Bench
40-49- Fringe Rotation
below 40- ICE (In Case of Emergency)

Re: Welcome To The Bobcats: Cody Zeller
I see Zeller being a David Lee- esque player- less offense and more defense though. That's definitely high-end starter caliber.
investigate Adam Silver

The ESPN Insider article predicted that Kelly Olynyk, Anthony Bennett, & Alex Len all had higher ceilings than Zeller among the PF/C position. However, they did have Steven Adams with a lower ceiling

Re: Welcome To The Bobcats: Cody Zeller
I still think he has "Raptors Bosh like" potential.
He has to stop getting himself caught deep under the rim or backboard on offense though.
