I get what he means but it doesn't say anything that we didn't already know.

Yes, it's difficult to be shorter than others at your position.

No, that doesn't mean your points count more.

Needs to learn how to rebound. Can have all the fantastic blocks you want, but when you consistently have 30+ minute games and have 3-4 rebounds thats a problem.

Actually Biz finished the season averaging 23 min and 5.8 rebounds which is not bad at all for a rookie.

i agree with LP, gotta get better on the boards. he did OK. he is good at blocking out on the defensive end, when he isnt leaving his man to help or block shots. i think his defensive rebounding would be greatly improved if he was playing next to players who did a better job of blocking out and helping on defense. biz cant be the guy to block shots, be the help defender and be the guy blocking out the other team's best rebounding. he needs help.

however, his offensive rebounding is not good. his positioning on o-boards is seemingly random. he needs to learn how to use his strength to root guys off their spots and get under the rim. he spends too much time trying to tip shots by going over the back. great o-rebounders have a knack for getting under the rim and camping out there.

and for the love of all that is holy, he has to learn how to catch the ball. does the NBA have the equivalent of the NFL jugs machine?

Bismack Biyombo on whether he's a center or power forward: "I'm a figher, I like to fight. I prefer to be a center.''

I love Biz's fight and spirit it would be easy to have the "feel sorry for me" attitude right now.

I think Biz has a good micro-game mentally, in the sense that he doesn't have to win a game to feel like his play is worthful. He takes pride in effort for effort's sake.

This is true and really important, whether you are playing good or bad you have to play with the same effort.

I loved this line. Especially because RGM edits bull-ish to bull.

I don't know which is harder to believe: Gerald Henderson is listed at 6'5 or Bismack Biyombo is listed at 6'9.

If you notice, they're at a bowling alley. I think Biyombo is standing in the lowered section and Hendo is on the higher one.

Got to love the kid man. I hoPe he continues to improve and can become hopefully an even better serge Ibaka type player. Sure would live to see the combo of him and Davis for years to come. Fingers crossed!

Was there any legit reason why people were questioning Biyombo's actual age? i.e. like there was for Yi (when he supposedly had certificates which stated a different birth year and when he told Battier his real age, etc.). Or was it just the "flavor of the draft" subject given where he was born, etc.? I find it weird no one ever questioned Serge Ibaka's age. Maybe because Biyombo was a more high profile player due to his draft position? Because it sure ain't his look, since he looks pretty young.
