I can see him getting buried on the bench rather early because of his bad shot selection on such a contender. Either way I think he's lucky to land a gig on the Clippers with Doc and CP3, especially a multi-year deal.

He really sucks. Not a bright basketball player.

He don't suck. He has talent. He's tall. He can shoot. He can create his own shot. He might not be the brightest ball player but he's smarter than Mullens. If we signed him it would be for the minimum. What do you expect with the little bit of cap space we have left? A all-star? Daye would be a good acquisition if we could get him.
catch20two wrote:Just a matter of preference I guess and he was spare parts as an expiring in the Rudy Gay trade last year. Daye is better than Singler. What cheap solution player(s) are you interested in to round out the rest of our 15-man roster?

Why isn't he still playing for the Pistons then? Can't beat out Kyle "The Count" Singler for minutes? Hmm.

I wouldn't hate it but I just think he's easily as dumb as Mullens. He reminds me of a tall, skinny Austin Rivers without the handles. I'd like to add anybody that would take Gordon's minutes though. I'd send Adrien packing and possibly trade Haywood and replace them both with an undrafted guy like Mbakwe, Carmichael or Howell personally. Brandon Paul would be a nice get.

Their big man rotation is going to keep them from being a contender.
So far all they have is Blake/DJ/Mully

Jack Cooley 15/10 in SL, high BBIQ - watch him tonight w/ MEM vs. Cats
Matt Howard role player, high BBIQ - watch him tonight w/MEM vs. Cats
Coby Carl - I know, but this guy is a facilitator extraordinaire, averaged almost 7 assists/game in DLeague last year, cheap, extremely high IQ, would be a great fit backing up SG/SF.
Micah Downs 6'8 SF 54% 3pters in SL (Mike Miller type SF)
D.J. Kennedy 6'6 excellent job running point for MIA in SL
Elias Harris 6'8 active SF 10/6 for LAL
John Shurna 6'9 SF 53% 3pters
Arinze Onuaku, bigger & stronger than Adrien, rebounding beast
Carleton Scott 6'8 SF 45% 3 pt shooter
Eloy Vargas 6'11 rebounder, space taker
Demitri McCamey, 6'3, better PG than Brandon Paul(who's really a SG)
Also,
Diante Garrett - if he is odd man out in crowded PHX PG slot, second leading assist man in SL behind Shroder.
Daniel Orton - probably odd man out in OKC, if he's cut still only 22, space eater, rebounder.
Just some ideas to throw out there.

I don't think any of those guys you named are better than Daye...or Adrien for that matter since you want to send him packing. Mbakwe is Biz-like. I like Carmichael and wouldn't mind him on our team. Howell isn't NBA material and his dismal summer league performances prove that. Paul is OK but barely a 40 FG% shooter.
BrotherDave wrote:Dismal? He's only gotten 10 mpg. If DJ White is NBA material than Howell is NBA starter material.
