You could probably sell me on #8 and Smith for #24 and #45, along with Gary Neal. That's it though. I'd laugh you off the damn phone if MKG was involved, plus you've got two big men who can't stretch the floor. MKG would be a defensive upgrade, but offensively he provides zero spacing, so he doesn't even help you that much.

But I would take Smith and #8 for #24, #45, and some filler. Maybe Neal, Jeff Taylor, Gerald Henderson...

Im sure we would just have to pick for whoever were trading it too.

traded it to Charlotte already, and you pick what ever Charlotte wants, you dont get to pick whatever player you want them to have, if it was that way every team that trades for picks would be screwed

I would assume the other team would tell you who they want you too pick first. Ive seen Miami trade theyre first rounder by selecting for other teams many times just because they dont want too add any salary.

What?

We're trading your top-1 protected 2015 pick for the #8 selection in 2014?

And we're trading MKG for a contract you can't move?

And we're giving you the Blazers pick?

Lol that trade just isn't happening brother. No one wants Josh Smith right now. He could very well be the worst contract in the league. He is talented, but he is also an idiot.

Id much rather have McRoberts at more than half the salary than Smith, easily.

Lol. I think what he meant to say was just forget trading Smith for MKG, period. MKG doesn't even fit you guys anyway right now to be honest. You think you have spacing issues with Smith? Put MKG on that roster and thats literally the worst spacing team of all time. Hell of a defender though.

I don't think you were clear about us keeping your pick next year as well.

Smith is still unmovable.

You'd have to attach him to pick 8 to dump him but I wouldn't expect much in return, let alone a player on a rookie contract and pick 24.

Yeah I'm not a big MKG fan but his defense is what I like. Smith is pretty bad but I just thought maybe adding in the 8th pick would interest you a little bit. I wouldn't want it either from your guys side though .

You guys' future pick is what I think we will use in a trade. I pray we don't keep it because if you guys figure out your spacing issues, aka not playing Smith at the 3 with a good coaching hire that pick will go down in value immediately. Reminds me of Chicago having our protected pick for the past couple years. We sign Jefferson and it went from one of the nicest trade assets in the league to the 16th pick.

Yeah we probably are stuck with him but I wouldn't get rid of another 1st just to dump him, would have to get some sort of asset back if the pick is involved.

If we trade MKG I might consider to stop following this team.

It would indeed take some luster off the team for me, especially if it's for a middling-to-overrated talent like Trevor Ariza or Luol Deng to replace him in the starting lineup

People keep comparing MKG to Jimmy Butler or Iguodala. There is a difference. MKG, although he is overall strong, looks nothing compared to Butler or Iguodala. Iguodala and Butler have a serious amount of muscle on them, like alot ..

MKG could stand to get some more muscle definition but he's far from some weakling that get pushed around like Zeller despite having a lot of muscle definition. Just look at how MKG stood his ground against HGH using Lebron. He's fine. He just need to get some confidence offensively and get his old shooting form back before working on his shot because that sling arm stuff not gonna work. Lol

I dare you to pick up a basketball and try to shoot it like he does. I tried the other day for 20 minutes. Its painful. Bringing your shoulder that far in to shoot a basketball should be illegal. I find it insane how he doesn't have any pain from shooting like that.

I wonder if he's double-jointed or have ehlers danlos syndrome. I can't fathom how he shoots that way either.

I know we use this excuse a lot, but Butler is a full four years older than MKG. I have no doubt that he could build up bulk if we wanted him to.
