Pick 10- Jonas Valunciunas
Pick 19- Jordan Hamilton

Round two
Pick 10- LaceDarius Dunn

Bobcats Lineup next year
PG- DJA, Livo
SG- Hendo, Dunn, Carroll
SF- Jackson, Hamilton, Cunningham
PF- Diaw, TT, White, Cunningham
C- Valunciunas, Kwame, Diop

Then next year if we do not like what TT is doing at PF then we can draft somebody like Sullinger or CJ Leslie. Also, next year will be stacked class for Point Guards if we want to upgrade DJ then. Either way Hamilotn can step in after we get rid of Jackson and then we finally got a Center with some upside. Dunn is steal in the second round to me because of the scoring he can bring off the bench for us.

I would be happy with that draft. I would prefer Kanter to Valunciunas, but doubt he falls to us.

As we are out of play offs is it time for annual Consensus Draft Thread or should we wait at least till the combine?

I defiantly want volacanios (sp?) over kanter. I have zero interest in kanter....he is a pf nof a c. However doesnt jonas have a contract overseas we would have to buy out? Otherwise i would like that draft of jonas and hamilton

Any contract complication is plus to me. Let him develop, uhm mature in this case, in Europe and bring him on rookie contract in like 2013. Draft better meanwhile.

lets wait a couple of weeks. last year it seemed we started way too early. i think we should wait until at last may to get started this year.

I don't know much about JV, but Kanter seems to be a pretty good prospect. He already seems like more of a physical player than any of our bigs right now. He has experience playing the US style of play, he also doesn't come with a risk of remaining in Europe for a year or 2. He may not be a true C but let's face it, we're not a team that's exactly "set" at ANY position, so I think the best player available method of drafting is one we should look into. Not saying Kanter is better or worse than JV just something to consider.

Bottom line is Kanter wont be there unless we get lucky and get a higher pick...And in that case I think we are overpaying for him. I think will be a solid power forward for a team, but not an allstar or go to player. I easily could see him being a softer Scola at best and to me Scola is solid, but not a top five pick kinda guy. The sad thing is this draft class is looking worse by the day and I think we would be lucky to grab Jonas at the tenth spot and Hamilton with our second pick. Tyler Honeycutt and Tobias Harris would be good backup options at the SF. I just do not think Leonard game will transfer well to the pros after watching him. He can not create off dribble for himself and isnt big enough to play the 4 and doesnt shoot from range very well which we need having Hendo at the 2. I like Honeycutt and Hamilton because they gel well with Hendo much better. Tobias Harris is just can create his own offense and is still really young and talented. I wouldnt be surprised if he ended up being a top 10 pick. If Biyombo could play center I would be all for drafting him because he is like Serge Ibaka, but even Serge couldnt play center in the league effectively.

I'm sure Kanter won't be there either, but I don't think he will be as soft as you. I'm kinda hoping for Brandon Knight. No real strong low post scoring PF's or C's. The forwards all seem to be tweeners. Terrence Jones is predicted to be on the board when we pick, I'm kinda scared of him being a Marvin Williams type player. He just doesn't seem to assert himself at all times. I think Knight has potential with his size and ability to score from anywhere. If he can develop better shot selection he'll be a very effective player in the NBA. Also you've got to love that he has proven able to hit big shots in crunch time. Maybe not as natural of a PG as you would want but neither was Russell Westbrook coming out. Not saying he will be a Westbrook type player, but I think he can grow into becoming a very effective PG.

Biyombo and Ibaka aren't centers. Ibaka was only rotating in at C for OKC because they had no other C outside of Krstic. Presti was rotating Ibaka in at C and Collison at PF.

How about we go totally international and with our pick draft Enes Kanter and the Hornets pick Lucas Nogueira locking down our 4 and 5 spots for the next 10 years. I mean, who wouldn't want to team an Al Horford type player with a JaVale McGee type player?

Then with our 2nd round pick we can draft the best SF available.

^That would be something else, althoug highly unlikely since Kanter will be gone before 10. I'd settle for Biyombo and Nog...

Realistically if our draft stock stays the same I would wana go with, Jordan Hamilton (natural scorer which we need, 3 pt threat) Nolan Smith(need a High bbal IQ combo guard type sixth man off the bench) and Keith Benson as our C prospect, I think oakley can work his magic with him a bonafide starter in the nba..

I would also be happy with Taking Biyombo over smith if he dropped to our NOH pick and take a combo guard in the 2nd round.. I think dude will be a stud, hes only 18, its still a possibltiy he could grow an inch or two, making him 6'10-6'11 with shoes with a 7'9 wingspan

Watching the Hoops Summit...World's guards are TURRIBLE.

Biyombo is STRONG...and he is a work horse, MONSTER on the glass. Really wants it/gets after it on both ends. Pretty much, he is Ibaka on the defensive end. He's a SHOTBLOCKER...no doubt about that.

Austin Rivers is the real deal...

Ok, Alexis Ajinca is nowhere near the player Biyombo is, not even close.

Bismack's line tonight- triple double: 12 points, 10 rebounds, box score would read 10 blocks - sets new Hoop Summit record, i counted 12...there was a a brick wall surrounding the rim when Biyombo was on the floor....his springiness, length, quick elevation, athleticism will make him an elite shotblocker, rebounder in the NBA.

He's only an 18 year old kid, but he plays like a manchild...he was just refusing to give up any easy shots at the rim.

Standouts were, Rivers - player of the game, Anthony Davis, Gilchrist. Teague was nice, nothing spectacular and Beal looks like a much cockier Eric Gordon with an abundance of swagger.

Sorry to the Lucas Noguiera (pronounced - Noh - gay- ra) fans, but he IS Alexis Ajinca. Lack of strength, pretty much a mirror image of Alexis.

Austin Rivers looks like a well grounded kid, not too cocky, not arrogant, just the right amount of swag. He's my favorite, if Drummond hasn't declared, for the 2012 draft class.....is going to be DEEP...

biyombo's stock just went up up up... triple double with blocks. playing for good team in europe and getting minutes. leads league in blocks. definitely someone to consider with 1st pick.

OK, I saw enough to say BB is NOT going to be like Ajinca. He really does have a lot of tools and a lot of room for growth. Really think he is in play for Charlotte at #9.

DraftExpress: RT @HoopConsultants: Bismack Biyombo can be a rugged tough NBA big. Plays too hard & is too committed to defensively not to be an NBA player
2011-04-10 12:03:52

DraftExpress: This is a joke. Bismack Biyombo blocking shots with his elbow now. Who cares how old he is? How high does he go after this?
2011-04-09 11:56:03

DraftExpress: Saer Sene couldn't get off the bench for Pepinster, the worst team in Belgium. Bismack Biyombo plays for a playoff team in Spain.
2011-04-09 11:49:57

DraftExpress: For those saying Bismack Biyombo is just another Saer Sene, he's been doing this same stuff for a while now in the ACB. Totally different.
2011-04-09 11:43:12

DraftExpress: Bismack Biyombo had zero experience, but came into ACB and immediately led the league in blocks. That's how you know he's something special.

Well he is only 18, so he has some time to grow and add muscle to his already freaky frame. I'm not too sure, trial and error would be the best way to find out. I wouldn't pass on him if he was there at 9-10, i'm having a hard time deciding on Kanter/Biyombo. IF Kanter's there it would come down to, how well each one of them performs at workouts, their attitude, character.

I also forgot to mention TIMING. BB has impeccable timing on his blocks, advanced for his age.
