Or was it just the "flavor of the draft" subject given where he was born, etc.? I find it weird no one ever questioned Serge Ibaka's age. Maybe because Biyombo was a more high profile player due to his draft position? Because it sure ain't his look, since he looks pretty young.
yeah, no legit reason. people assuming that since other players from African, Asian, Caribbean countries had lied about ages, then perhaps biz did as well.

Ah okay, cool. In that case, I wouldn't be surprised if he happened to grow another inch or so over the next two seasons. He would be an absolute freak (not that he isn't already) if that were to happen.

If you pay attention to Gerald's posture, he is probably on his tip toes trying to look as tall as Biz.

and like I said in the earlier post, they're at a bowling alley. Bismack is standing in the lowered pit area and Gerald isn't. Bismack is 4-6 inches taller than Gerald.

Wow Crunk! If you said that with any more confidence I would swear you were the one who took the picture.

Are you trying to say that I'm wrong, or just trying to make soup out of letters?

Wow, major props to Biz for starting to work out in early June. Can't wait to see the improvement.

Re: The Bismack Biyombo Thread
What I love Biyombo is that when other guys are dedicated to practicing and developing themselves, they often do it with a chip on their shoulder and have that driving them. With Biyombo it's more like "Okay I really need to start getting better now, no more fooling around," not that I'm saying he's lacking any focus at all, but he just makes life seem so easy going but serious all the same.

Re: The Bismack Biyombo Thread
People on the T&T board know nothing about Biyombo and his potential. Someone tried to trade him and Matty C for #9 and Villanueva and someone else went for Curry/#7 for Biyombo/#2.

An uninjured Curry wouldn't make that a terrible trade really. Though we'd have three PGs who all deserved playing time and an extended look at future PG...

I think you could say he wants to get better to be better, not to "silence critics" or "prove them wrong" or whatever. Which is good, because if someone only wants to silence critics, then what do they do when the critics shut up?

I love Curry, and I would do Curry/#7 for Kemba/#2 in a heartbeat, bad ankles or not. Trading Biz is the bad idea.captaincrunk wrote:CHA_77_Bobcats wrote:People on the T&T board know nothing about Biyombo and his potential. Yeah that sums it up better. And if you do hit the point where you silence the critics, you could go the MJ route and actually imagine that they're still talking **** about you

I think MJ also just wanted to win, though. He would win all the time, and silence critics with ridiculous performances on top of that. Like remember when this season people started calling Kobe old, and he had like 4 straight 40 point games? It's like that. They still want to win and be the best, but they also have pride in their individual legacy.

Re: The Bismack Biyombo Thread
Rick Bonnell stated today on his Twitter that Biyombo was at the arena working on his shot today, and air balled a 5 footer.
Still a ways to go, but at least hes working his butt off with next season 5 plus months away.
