Yea, that's my concern. Some have questioned his age; it reminds me of when Yi was drafted several years ago. Two or three years doesn't matter much today but it will in the future.

BB is sounding like a beast in the making! Sounds as if he is rapidly improving. Does he have any touch around the rim?? I know he is raw offensively right now, but if he has touch and soft hands his offense could have some nice potential.

Doesn't that sound a LOT like the PF we just committed a whole lot of money to?

if hes really 18 i'd be willing to trade TT and then drafting BB, U kno how nasty he would be with Hakeem, Oakley and Silas working with him?

I wouldn't know Bismack Biyombo if I kicked him in the junk so I wouldn't know how nasty he would be full stop.

The only thing I know about him is that he has an awesome name..................and that he sounds a heck of a lot like Tyrus Thomas.

Not sure I would refer to TT as a "beast". BB does has 15-20 lbs on him also.

I think there is some debate on if that's his actual birthday. From what I gather so scouts think he might be older.

To be fair, BB has a MUCH BETTER feel for the game than TT and he's 6 years younger. He's also more mature than TT both on and off the court.

BB has everything TT has and everything he doesn't - without the mid range game, if that makes sense.

The difference between the two would be what we've all been asking for from TT, that's poise, IQ, the ability to stay on the court long enough without getting into foul trouble...BB's got muscle and strength on TT also. That's something we've been talking about...

i can think of a lot of bad things and not very many good things that can happen as a result of falling in love with a prospect that comes out of nowhere with a disputed age, and is described as "raw offensively."

So is the consensus that he can play C? I know he is a BEAST blocking shots, but still him being 6'9" kind of worries me. IF he is more of a PF, then how does he really help us that much? It would make our roster extremely unbalanced and force us to make other moves and thus show our hand. Theres no way we could draft him with our first pick and go into the season with Diaw, Thomas, DJW, Najera, plus him. Absolutely no way. He's got to show great ability to play C in the NBA or else I would still stay away from him. I think the combine will be huge for him, sounds like he has all the ability especially defensively to play great defense as a C.

If he continues his rise up the boards, and we take him at #9, I can see us dealing away Diaw for a late 1st and leave he and TT at the PF spot to alternate play with Kwame or they may play both TT and BB with Kwame on the bench and play athletic small ball. But I cannot see taking him and keeping Diaw also. Would there be a time the HC would opt to go BIg and play Kwame, BB and TT at the same time? That would seem to have the potential to be a very athletic and defensive front line, and might also necessitate keeping Diaw.

If by some minor miracle both Kanter and BB were on the board at #9, I would take Kanter without hesitation. I am not yet sold on BB. There is so much eerie similarity to he and Ajinca both coming out of nowhere and rising up the Draft Boards that I just cannot shake that uneasy feeling. We have blown some picks with Ammo and Ajinca, I dont want to see that come back again. I can be happy with DJ and Hendo to date, and want to see our FO continue to make the better choice rather than the poor ones.

We have to take the BPA this draft, a kid who hopefully has star potential, regardless of position.

In saying that, Bismack Biyombo would have to be a grand slam during all of his workouts leading up to the draft to justify us picking him - and if he IS that good, he'll be gone by the time we are on the clock.

I jsut saw that DX has Bitchsmack Biyombo going #8 overall in their latest draft!

Not bad for a kid who was a total unknown before New Years.

If BB moves up into Top 8, that just brings another good player down to our pick. And I see that Sullinger is being advised to declare for the Draft, not hire an agent, and get a feel for where he would go. Great news. If he declares, that makes this an even better Draft Pool and allows our pick at #9 (outside shot at #8) to be even better. If Sullinger and Barnes come out, this will be a solid pool for the Top 10 and we will get a very good player with our 1st 1st and a still pretty solid player with our 2nd 1st.
