:meditate: :meditate:  :eyebrows:   As much as people like Hendo it's obvious 7-8 mil a year isn't going to happen! So it's time we get "something for him" Boston is looking to unload GW and Hump because they got too many players under contract. Here is a trade with Boston that helps us all out and sells tickets and the Bobcats have not even thought about it. Ben Gordon's expiring and sign and trade Henderson for
Colton Iverson 7' 255 expiring, Courtney Lee 6'5' 200, 27 experienced 2 guard 2 year contract and GERALD WALLACE 30 years young and still the G-FORCE
2 year contract. YES BRING CRASH HOME TO FINISH his carreer and hoist his Jersey into the rafters for all time as a Hornet!!! :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire:   :gossip: :peace: :peace:

Starting lineup
KW,Sess,
Lee,JT,Daniels
GW,MKG,PewJR
MCBob,Zman,Biz
BIg AL,Colty,Haywood

This team fills TWC area, wins 45 games and goes to second round of Playoffs. Who cares if we give Chicago our 2014 draft pick in the 20's. We get Portlands and possibly Detroit's to draft and keep building. WoW :D :D :D

Wow. Lets get Stack Jack and DJ too. Lets completely handcuff ourselves right before the best draft and free agency class in years. Also we help Boston clear cap and climb to the top of the lottery. Does Ainge have some compromising photos of Cho and Higgins? :o

No news on Henderson?! No teams are currently showing interest and no new negotiation with the Bobcats... Whats going on here? Has the potential of Taylor made Hendo irrelevant?

Definitely not irrelevant. No hurry since he's restricted.

Nobody wants to touch Henderson. I suspect he's seen as a 6th man around the league. If he was willing to settle for 6th man money, he'd be under contract by now. The qualifying offer might turn out to be his best offer by far. I haven't seen the summer league games but it sounds like Taylor and Gordon could easily do the job. If we did a sign and trade we'd have to probably take back a player that is not a good long-term fit. The reason is because Henderson wants too much money.

The more days go by that Hendo hasn't re-signed as I watch summer league the less I want for us to retain him.

I agree. The way Taylor is showing his posterier in summer league I'm almost ready to give him away. Just give me an off the bench shooter and a second round pick.

    Actually we are currently in a win/ win situation with Hendo. I applaud Cho for his guts not to fold. By holding He forces Gerald's agent into a corner to accept what long term offer that the Bobcats have offered? I suspect that is 6 mil for 3 or 4 years with team options and incentives. one of three things will happen
1. He will accept3-4 offer.
2. As a RFA,Some team will offer him that and we will match and keep him.
3. He will accept the 1 year 4.25 mil offer and play his ass off next year hoping for the long term contract later in 2014.

Either way he stays and we win.
If anybody disagrees then my question is what team wants him and what can they offer on a sign and trade.
Boston is the only one I can think of,but would they part with Brooks and Lee on a S/T?

So three good summer league games by our second-year 3 and D guy we picked up after 30 teams passed on him, has you guys clamoring for Gerald Henderson's exit?

Well then.

I like the way Taylor played this SL and the way he played last season for us. But I dont think he's the answer as our SG in place of Hendo. We need both Hendo and Taylor this year since we did not go after one of the available SG's. There is no hurry since Hendo is a RFA as said above. So we wait, which is fine. He'll be back.

Neither Gerald Henderson or Jeff Taylor are the long-term solution at SG. Charlotte will be trying to upgrade the SG position either next season or the season after that. That's where the problem lies in paying Henderson over $7 million annually on a contract that extends at least 3 years. If an agreement can't be met between both sides, then trading Henderson for future assets & letting Taylor start at SG becomes the best option. The fact that Taylor is playing well in summer league only makes the possibility of this happening intriguing enough to seem acceptable. I don't think anybody here is insinuating that Taylor is better than Henderson, just that it might have a better outlook for the franchise's financial flexibility

Henderson better not go anywhere. He's still much better than Taylor.

I have been saying all year that we should only keep Hendo if he agrees to a modest contract as our future back up. Taylor is showing that he might could be that long term back up if Dukie wants to be greedy.

Exactly. I think everyone here would prefer Wiggins or Smart paired with Kemba long term.

You are completely missing the point. If he comes to his senses and accepts a backup's contract he is welcome, but if he thinks that he is a starter on an nba championship team he needs to go.

Hendo could be the difference between a possible run to make the playoffs or not. Just throwin' that out there.

Bobcats & RFA Gerald Henderson are having ongoing contract conversations about possible return, source tells Y!, but still not close on $.
