Byron Mullens becoming a 20ppg player is one of the most far-fetched things i've heard on this forum.

He could get 20 easy if he just learned how to get fouled. Maggette used to be able to do this and he's not a 7 footer with unlimited range.

Mulles won't average 20 points a game. If he really works on it, he can get 15-17 but I can't see him becoming a 20ppg scorer. That's getting into elite territory. It's possible, but highly unlikely. I'd much rather him work on becoming a multi-dimensional player. He's very athletic, I'd like to see him use some of his gifts on D and on the glass.

Out of all the PF's and C's in the NBA last season only TWO averaged 20ppg or more.

Dwight and Dirk.

Mully aint now nor will he ever be on that level!

PF's and Center's need to be mean and nasty and also be good defenders. Bargs has none of those qualities on defense or on offense. I would never trade a high pick for that. Bargs ain't Dirk. Doesn't have the killer instinct. No thank you. Let him rot in Toronto, or trade him to GSW and pair him up with that other defensively challenged stiff, David Lee.

Not to mention that Mullens is primarily a jump shooting big men that shoots 42%. He won't be averaging 20ppg shooting jumpers at 42%.

getting a young former first overall pick that has had back to back 20ppg seasons at the cost of moving from 2 to 8 in a draft class that is virtually equal 2-10? yall aint thinking straight. look at our free agent signing history and try to grasp that nobody worth a **** is ever going to come here willingly. taking on a contract is meaningless to us. who is even our best free agent signing?? reggie williams?

The trade itself is great. We have the opportunity to net Bargnani, who would actually pair up decently with Bismack, and the 8th pick, which could net us anyone from Jeremy Lamb, Austin Rivers, Perry Jones, or Terrence Ross. Thing is though, I'll doubt Toronto would pull the trigger on that trade. We might have to consider adding our 2nd round this year or next and maybe another asset.

I'd insist that Toronto take Tyrus though. Have to dump that contract if we're taking one back. Then call Philadelphia about #8 for AI. Screw rebuilding, we'll be in the playoffs next year.

are u kidding me... Bargs is soft as baby ****, Mullens and Barfs are about the same player

They would probably bite for a Mags and 31 for Bargs. Giving up the #2 for a soft and average pf would be stupid imo. The #8 is really a big downgrade.

Bargs has a bad contract which really decreases his value for other teams, a good gm would take advantage of this fact and would rob them. If they not bite, then who cares, we are not in a hurry and Bargs is not an elite player anyways.

Bargnani is a bad fit right now. I could see doing that trade in 14. Adding Bargnani scoring might put us pack in 5-10 lotto range before we got a superstar to build around. Then we might have to surrender a lotto pick to Chicago with Bargnani as our main guy.

I love the softies. Have them run the court and shoot jumpers all game. Get back to scoring 110+ a game.

in order for mullens to average a lot of points he has to play a lot of minutes. thats the problem. he will never get big minutes (except on a 7 win team) unless he drastically improves his defense. no real coach is going to allow mullens to play if he doesnt learn how to guard someone and rebound.

Part of the reason I would really love Robinson. It would be so nice to have two tough guys in the paint for a change.

This is why T-Rob is the odds on favorite for our pick. I don't see Cho passing up the toughest rebounder in the draft when the kid can score too.

while he'll probably never average 23ppg, i feel like MKG is more than the sum of his parts and is getting short changed a great deal in this thread. i still feel like he's going to be the pick, even though i'm coming around big time on beal and may have different ideas myself.
