How much do you think what we do with #3 will influence what we do with #32?

Eg: If we go big at #3 do we go wing at #32?

I like Nnaji and Carey if we are looking at bigs. If Jalen Smith happened to fall I’d be all over him as well.

Jalen Smith is a sleeper pick, and could go late lottery. I'm serious. Also, I'm high on the Cassiuses: Winston and Stanley.

Winston is what Graham has become with the Hornets, with a ready-made pick-and-roll game. He's slow(er), but so, so smart. Leader. Experienced. A winner. Stanley has lots to work on, especially his ball handling, but he has elite athleticism. I mean ELITE athleticism. I watched him closely this past season at Duke and of all the freshmen I think he has the most pro potential. For a developmental organization like the one in Charlotte, Stanley would be a steal at 32.

Of the top 25 players on your board, which three represent the greatest desire to win, improve, be great?

Which of your three are Alpha males?

Listening to Mitch I don't think anything influences a pick except BPA. I feel like he wants to accrue talent and then if he gets enough solid pieces he can try to move some young guys and expirings for the right piece. I really hope that is the plan because the only way we get a true alpha dog player is drafting or trading. I don't see FA as a realistic route for us.

I would not mind a draft of Wiseman, Smith and Hinton. I know big are being devalued some but I think both those guys bring things that will make them effective and Hinton is a solid all round guard.

How about Pokuševski in the second round? Pearlman likes him a lot.

Imagine this guy working dribble hand-offs with a competent screen-setter.

I'd be VERY (but happily) surprised if he's still available at 32, I thought he should've been considered had we ended up 8-12.

Think no way Poku will be available at 32 but I'd jump on the opportunity.

Some were asking who we should target at pick #32. These are the best that SHOULD best
available at that pick imo. (there are others that could fall there but these players SHOULD still be available)

SG - Karim Mane. Great size and can play PG and SG
;t=144s

SF - CJ Elleby. Great shooter and defender

SF - EliJah Hughes. Solid all around

PF - LaMar Stevens. Can play PF and SF
;t=58s

SG - Tyshon Alexander. Can somewhat play PG but more of a SG. Good decision maker and great defender

The Buzz Beat podcast just put out a great episode where they breakdown players that should be in play for us and their fit with the team. They really sold me on Killian Hayes

My dream scenario would be a trade down to grab Tyrese around pick 6. Try to pick up a future 1st if teams are high on who ever drops to 3.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Thanks for the heads-up. Not sold on writing off Wiseman just because they can't bring him in for work-outs, but I see the point. The part about LaVar and small markets makes sense. Yeesh.

Who's likely to drop among the guys mocked between say #20 and #30? That's usually where I look first.

UNCNYC... who would you consider your three best calls on prospects since you started posting on the draft here?

Meaning guys you called would be great and are really good?

Right now it's looking like Miles may have been one of my worse calls.

:dontknow:
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Super great question coming from someone who like you who is a MASTER at evaluating talent... I am HUMBLED...

I think Devon Dotson will be a sure thing, I think he has a complete game.

I also like Patrick Williams as a sure thing. He can give you 2 positions and doesn't have a game that can hurt a team...
At the very least will be a great defensive player.

The final player is a tough one... I would have to say Elijah Huges. He does it all... Won't give you a star but will solidify
your SG or SF position...

So my top 3 are Devon Dotson, Patrick Williams, Elijah Huges

Honarable mention - Tyler Bey, and sleeper is Tyshon Alexander

I really liked Booker and Brogdon, but I also really liked Noah Vonleh. You win some you lose some.

I can totally see the Warriors strong-arming the Knicks for Ball if the Wolves take Edwards. I bet they'd demand 8 + 2021 unprotected 1st + Mitchell Robinson.

Ball could end up the most valuable selection due to Knicks desperation.

Warriors would go Curry - Klay - Wiggins - Draymond - Robinson and go into 2021 with 2 high lottery picks from Minny and NYK.

I'd love to do that deal with the Knicks but I think the Warriors are all over it.
It has been written...

This is why the Wolves will take Ball, they won't let GS walk away with those assets.

I wanted Kobe but I also wanted Adam Morrison. In my case you win once and never win again lmao.

I actually wanted Brandon Roy but was too afraid to take risk in drafting at that time... Now I swing for the fences lol. Either way I really liked Morrison for whatever reason while he was here for a week or two.
