Re: Fake Trade Thread #3
With PJ possibly being out for a while we need to make a trade to bolster our front court even more.
Anyone think the Hawks would be interested in trading Okongwu for a lightly protected 1st?

Although that would be a long shot, it would be a coup for us.

I doubt they'd go for it, but if they've changed their minds about paying Collins maybe they'd like to get an asset for a player that won't see the court much for a while.

I'd do a 1st for Okongwu or Rozier for Capela. I kind of doubt ATL would do either.

I'd probably do a pick and Rozier for Capela

Yes, please.
A PJ-Capela future front court would be wondrous.

Get my boy Zubac to Hornets. He is drafted by Kupchak, being not used enough in La, and Clippers need player like Rozier. Rozier and Zeller for Zubac,Kabengele,Kennard and second. Luke is bad contract, but with Ball as pg he could get open shot and from Hayward also. Zu becomes Marc Gasol, which he have potential to be, Kabengele is Mutombo's nephew and Biyombo 3.0.

Re: Fake Trade Thread #3
Wonder if Vucevic could be available? Orlando is going nowhere this season, and he has two years left on his contract after this year. Without him, they are in prime position to land a top pick in a very good draft. They could trade him, Fournier, Ross, and Gordon to load up on picks for a rebuild with Isaac, Fultz, Okeke, Bamba, and Anthony already in house.
Would love Vucevic here. What would it take?

I'd love to have Zubac in Charlotte. I heard that the Clippers front office really likes him though and that the coaches are why he doesn't have a bigger role.

I like Capela as a player, but this seems like an overpay.
Atlanta got Capela for Evan Turner and the 17th pick in the draft.
Rozier and our first is a steep price compared to that.

I should've made it clear that it would be a lottery protected 1st that conveys whenever we next make the playoffs.
Atlanta stole Capela, I wouldn't expect him to come that cheap again.

I was higher on Okongwu predraft then I am today. I know he was hurt, but part of what makes a draft pick so valuable is that they could be amazing in the league from day 1 or show some really great tools such as Ball, Haliburton, Wiseman etc have. Watching Okongwu to start the year I do not see that burst or pop on the tape that makes me think he has "it".
My biggest concern is he looks small on the court... like PJ level small. This is just a small view of him next to Len, but every time I have seen him this year I can't see anything other than him looking undersized.

I figured that is what you meant, but to me that is still a lot. I also do not love trading a lottery protected first because it leaves our pick in limbo and makes trading future firsts really difficult until that pick conveys.
Just think I would prefer a different deal structure or different player.

Okongwu's size was a concern for me pre-draft as well. Ideally, we need someone that is at least close to 7 feet with a decent wingspan. Our bigs have been undersized compared to the rest of the league for far too long.
Then again Bam Adebayo isn't 7 foot tall, but he has more than enough physicality to hold his own. We really just need frontcourt players that aren't afraid of contact (on both ends). That also aren't too undersized to the point that they're at a disadvantage.

That is a good thing imo. It doesn't allow the team to panic into another premature win-now trade like we did with Tyrus Thomas, etc

I've also thought of Biz and Graham for Zubac

Re: Fake Trade Thread #3
Would anyone do Rozier for Steven Adams? After his extension kicks in his contract is pretty much identical to Roziers. New Orleans desperately needs shooting and we desperately need a center.

He seems to get a lot of love, but I've never watched Zubac play. Can anyone break down his game for me?

Hmmm. Not sure, but I'd definitely ponder. Adams seems like he's 35, but he's only 27. I seem to recall folks saying he'd fallen off a cliff, but he's been putting up some solid #'s the last several weeks.

Ya, thats kind of where I'm at. Adams is a good fit, but his numbers have declined for whatever reason and it feels like hes a little less valuable than Rozier overall. There are some other guys who I'd rather have than Adams at that price range, but none seem like good trade partners for Rozier to me.
