I got a lot of money on the Nuggs to beat the Celtics in the finals. I really hope they don't blow it now

The Wolves just obliterated the Nuggets in game 6 at home. I'm still backing the experience of Denver but it could go either way.

of course Mavs don't win without Doncic and Kyrie's offense, too, but this does confirm the adage that you win in the playoffs with defense

Congratulations to PJ Washington who just hit foul shots to send his team to the WCF. It must be exciting for the native Texan.
Thunder fouled him on a 3.
Their Cinderella season ends. They're still young and have boatloads of assets.
Gordon Hayward had a DNP in their final game.
PJ is a starter on a contender. He's their 3rd option. Crazy.

He only took 6 shots tonight. They have 2 primary scorers and then a bunch of sometimes scorers.

Once again. PJ is their 3rd option. Got the winning foul call (on Shai). Got the ball for the final shot down 1.
He's hugely important.
The whole general board is wishing the Thunder traded for PJ.

Trading PJ over Bridges was stupid. We had a solid role player on a good contract. Now we are forced to overpay Bridges smh

I constantly proposed GSW or Dallas or another contender make a run at him. It just goes to show how unstructured and dysfunctional our franchise is, I'm thrilled for PJ.

I’ve got to believe they didn’t want Bridges.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

To be fair PJ wasn't meant to have the last shot it was kind of fumbled to him out of Luca's hands, but fair play to him he hit some big shots last night.

Thank God.

Irrational PJ love around here is something I'll never understand. Dude goes 2-6 and scores 9 points as a "third option" in an elimination game and we're gushing.

Yeah it’s not like Bridges would be doing nothing if we traded him lol. He’d be doing a lot more than PJ on Dallas. The problem with our team is not that we trade away guys like PJ it’s that we can’t get guys like Luka and Kyrie. Hope Brandon and LaMelo are in the lab

So you're using the game where he was in a 3 way tie for 5th most FGAs on his team as support for why he's a 3rd scoring option, just because he took the last shot (which apparently was not drawn up for him)?
If you look at his game logs over the entire playoffs, in games 2-4 against OKC he averaged 20 FGAs per game. In all other games, he never had more than 10.
So he's the 3rd option in some games, and in others he's just putting up 7-10 FGAs and others are carrying more of the offensive load.

Paul George would be a very very nice addition and show Brandon how to be a clutch scorer and that's no negative comment about Miller

Re: Around the NBA 12
PJ was our 3rd option. It didn't work because he's not consistent enough on offense. He sometimes would play great, and sometimes shoot 1-10.
With Dallas, he's in his ideal role. 3&D with occasional good offensive games. His inconsistent offense isn't as big a deal with Luka and Kyrie. He can be anywhere from the 3rd option to the 5th option and that's fine as long as he defends well.

Re: Around the NBA 12
2 game 7 today. Mavs/Thunder came down to the last possession game 6.
These playoffs have been fantastic.
So little separation between these teams. Deadline deals give them just the edge. With so many teams so evenly matched and so many others hopeful to make a run through the playin, the trade deadline has become a sellers dream.
Glad we were able to capitalize. You can literally extract value from players who don't have.any left.
See Hayward, Gordon.

Peterson should be able to extract a late 1st from the Thunder next deadline, for Nick Richards.

Re: Around the NBA 12
PJ has always cooked against the Thunder. He has a personal vendetta against OKC or something. I'm not surprised he has played well against them considering he killed them when he was playing here in Charlotte as well.
He's a solid player, it's why Dallas traded us Grant Williams and a very lightly protected first for him.
