Just my feeling but I think Scoot won them over in the interview process.

This is coming from a guy who wanted Miller. If Scoot is the pick im on board. I just hope we get a new coach. Cliff doesn't know how to use 2 young dynamic guards like Melo/Scoot.

Not sure Cliff knows how to use anyone we could draft. We need a coach who can develop talent and run a fast paced offense. If we draft Miller or Scoot we need to be up tempo because both fit better there.

Fischer said he measured out just under 6'4" in shoes in both Charlotte and Portland. That's Beal sized. I voted Miller but would be happy with Scoot at this point. Reference is pretty far down here:

I think in a world where we talk about prospects barefoot these days, trying to make it sound like they are taller in shoes is weird. The whole reason teams went away from in shoes measurements is because guys would wear different shoes to get measured in, change for workout so they could get 2 inches added to their height.

Totally agree. I always suspected Shaq was no taller than 5'6 in real life :P

Yeah - it should be apples to apples for sure. Would've liked for this to have been barefoot - would've liked for POR and CLT to have stuck with the system. Bball shoes can add between 1-3 inches. Meaning best case Scoot is just under 6'3" barefoot, worst case he's closer to 6'1". This said, eye test suggests the former - I'd put him between 6'2" and 6'3".

Great article and interview with Scoot via ESPN. He’s the kind of young man we suspected; comes from a great family full of competitive siblings, a father obsessed with basketball who coaches them all, solid family with character and their heads on straight, and DRIVEN TO SUCCEED. If he’s picked, he is GOING to be the alpha dog. He gives hints of baby Jordan.

Hornets, if Woj is to be trusted, dodged a bullet here. Nearly slipped up and drafted another All-Star.
On the plus side, the Swarm will get some solid burn out of Miller for 25-30 games this year.

John Jenkins, who had stints in Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Washington and New York before playing with the Ignite this season, is from the same area as Scoot, and had heard the stories of him about how driven he was. He says that Henderson lived up to his rep, showing up to gym four hours before game time, rebounding his own misses, working on defensive footwork. Not coincidentally, Jenkins says: "His playmaking has taken a leap this year. He knows when to pick his spots, slow down, pick his spots, when to get someone else involved. All the things he needs in the league, he got better at."

Boone claims there could be more “fit” issues with drafting Miller (“what to do with Hayward, or Miles?”). Miles status has nothing to do with Miller. Boone says drafting Scoot would necessitate moving Rozier in the off-season. Well…duh…how easy is that verses moving an expiring contract veteran SF? His conclusion:

So, the Hornets should just take Henderson. If things don’t work out and for some reason he’s not compatible enough with Ball, a trade in a year or two could alleviate that problem while also assisting in reconfiguring the roster around whomever they keep.

I’m happy with either one. I’ve been leaning Miller all this time, but love the alpha leadership and “be great or collapse trying” mentality Scoot brings.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

So Miller favorite player is Paul George and Scoot favorite player is Russell Westbrook.

These kids today...
