We all feel that way about the player we champion. I don't get why you guys keep sleeping on what a beast T-Rob is just because he is not the tallest guy in the draft. You guys act like you have never heard of Paul Silas, Charles Barkley, and Larry Johnson. Shorter fours who excelled because they had strong motors like T-Rob. Did I mention that all three of those guys are shorter that Thomas is.

I thought they excelled because they were supremely talented.

Talent only gets you so far. Ask Elden Campbell, Darko Milic, Rasheed Wallace, and Stephon Maurbury about that. All of these guys had all of the talent in the world, but lacked the will to be great.

This sounds like something someone would say when they wanted to justify their high praise of a player before their career really took off. "Oh, Rasheed Wallace was supremely talented to be sure! Easily a top 5 talent of his generation. Unfortunately, HE didn't choose to work hard, leaving my evaluation perfect and him flawed!"

Maybe Darko Milicic isn't all that great of an NBA player because he's really not all that great at playing basketball?

Preliminary measurements out via @goodmancbs

-Thomas Robinson is 6’8’’ 3/4, 7’3’’ wingspan

-Bradley Beal is 6’4’’ 1/4, 6’8’’ wingspan. Taller than Eric Gordon, but an inch shorter wingspan.

TRob's wingspan is huge. We might have a winner :D

I think I can deal with T-Rob since his wingspan is good. This his size wont hurt.

Thinking about MKG, I think of the athleticism we would have on the floor with Kemba, Hendo, MKG and Biyombo. But it would worry me sick that neither our SG or SF can shoot from the outside worth a crap. The only way around something like that is if we trade Hendo for a late lottery 1st and grab a more pure SG. But I dont think he will bring a pick in the 11-14 range in this draft.

Disappointed Drummond did not do any Combine workout today. Was hoping he would show up big and strong and cause more of a chance of someone overpaying to move up to #2 to get him.

Beal too small, not athletic enough to make a difference. don't see how he can be a dynamic scorer at this level

Maybe you don't understand the concept of a player having a high motor. Players who are said to have high motors are players who seem to have boundless energy. When others tire they keep going. Players with high motors always work hard. That is part of having a high motor. Players who are criticized as not having a high motor are the ones who don't work hard.

Darko was rated pretty highly before he was drafted, because he had all the talent in the world. He just never realized it. He was drafted ahead of Melo and DWade who both had just made great runs in the ncaa's.

Wingspan and especially standing reach are more important than actual height.

TRob's wingspan is much bigger than most NBA PF's and equivalent to many centers. I hope they release all the measurements including standing reach tomorrow.

Blazer fan here just wanted to say that with t-Rob's measurements coming in I think he should go #2 if his wingspan is that huge I think he can be a Blake Griffin who is only like 1 inch taller but 3-4 inches shorter in wing span. Throw in you guys got Bismack Biyombo (very underrated pick by Cho) would be a beast offense and defense tandem for the next decade GL. Also having a 6'9 3/4 center is not bad given his wingspan and strength (Bismack Biyombo) Dwight is only 6'9".

Howard is taller than 6'9

How does his head play apart of his defense? Bismack has a longer wingspan and standing reach. he only got wrecked last year from the rebounding department because hes still a child playing against grown men. you guys forget that, a 24 year old bismack will absolutely rape the league

Beal isn't athletic at all from a NBA stand point, he's a scorer that struggles to create his own shot on the college level. at best hes the next reggie miller(who is highly overrated in playing in a weak SG era)

Harrison Barnes measured 6-8 with 6-11.5 wing. Will have all 60 players measurements tomorrow
about a minute ago

chadfordinsider Chad Ford
Thomas Robinson measures 6-9 with a crazy 7-3 wingspan today. That should end any concerns about his size at the 4
