Woj hasn’t said a thing all day regarding our pick and Mitch said yesterday they wouldn’t be making their final decision until today, I trust Shams here

It seems like they really are torn on who to draft.

Scoot is -750 on DK. Miller +450.

I truthfully think this is the Jabari/Bancharo sitch, 2023 version.

Miller "made sense" for fit. Scoot's the better player, IMO and gaining traction 24 hours out. We can't go wrong with this selection...either way, our team gets a franchise player tonight.

I also think no one knows what we're doing and it's all guessing

If Scoot is the pick and he is a let down, it will be on Charlotte why he sucks. Probably more pressure for him to be good then even Miller to be honest.

Feels very Monk over Mitchell to me. Last minute take whoever the media wants instead of the prospect we liked more along. IDK I guess we will have to see.

I don't think Kupchak cares about what the media/fans want, but Jordan might. For that reason and many others I hope he doesn't make the final call, Kupchak should.

I don't think the media has the slightest clue who we want. It's been impossible to tell if they actually know anything or are just assuming we'll take Miller because of fit, be it shooting or if can Scoot & Melo play together.

As for the team, I think it's the fit vs better player divide. I think MJ likes Scoot more, just seems like the player he'd like. As for Mitch and Cliff, I think they can go either way.

Personally I think new owners are probably looking at fan responses and seeing Scoot has more supporters and that means more money for their wallstreet bank accounts. If they have a say I think they would lean that way.

Guess we will see, team still having a final meeting and then will decide.

It would be completely counter to everything about how this FO operates for them to go against their own instinct and let the media make the pick.

We did like 130 workouts in preparation for the draft. They are taking it seriously and they aren't going to discard their own analysis just because a talking head has a preference.

Dude Mitch literally said yesterday they were going BPA. Is it not possible they think Scoot is better?

Seems like a more plausible theory then MJ isn't taking Miller because he said Paul George was the goat and said he airballed a free throw.

"If they're thinking of taking Scoot it is probably because they aren't thinking about who is the better prospect" is just dumb

I don't care too much who they take, but the preemptive sour grapes is just painful to read

I don't think the media care at all who we pick. If anything, they'd want us to take Miller so Portland can deal #3 (Scoot) for Zion or to add to the Lillard "staying or going" storylines if they drafted Scoot.
