Oh my **** god. If I didn't already really feel bad for Knicks fans (which I didn't), I do now. Poor bastards- they're going to be stuck in the cellar of the league till next decade without a pick if they keep up like this.

Hey, let's see what they'd trade for Ben Gordon. They probably think he's still in his 2005 form and would trade Tim Hardaway Jr. and a 2018 pick for him.

Knicks picked owed
2014 first round draft pick to Denver
New York's 2014 1st round pick to Denver [Denver-Minnesota-New York, 2/22/2011]; Denver may convey this pick to Orlando (see Denver Debits)

2014 second round draft pick to Houston
New York's 2014 2nd round pick to Houston [Houston-New York, 7/11/2012]

2015 second round draft pick to Houston
New York's 2015 2nd round pick to Houston [Houston-New York, 7/11/2012]

2016 first round draft pick to Denver
Denver has the right to swap its 2016 1st round pick for New York's 2016 1st round pick [Denver-Minnesota-New York, 2/22/2011]; New York will convey the less favorable of these two picks to Toronto (see New York Debits)

2016 first round draft pick to Toronto
New York will convey the less favorable of its 2016 1st round pick and Denver's 2016 1st round pick to Toronto (via Denver's right to swap for New York) [Denver-Minnesota-New York, 2/22/2011 and then New York-Toronto, 7/10/2013]

2016 second round draft pick to Sacramento
New York's 2016 2nd round pick to Sacramento (via Portland) protected for selections 31-37; if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then New York's obligation to Sacramento will be extinguished [New York-Portland, 7/15/2012 and then New Orleans-Portland-Sacramento, 7/10/2013]

2017 second round draft pick to Toronto
New York's 2017 2nd round pick to Toronto [New York-Toronto, 7/10/2013]

You can't trade consecutive first rounders, that's why '15 and '17 aren't being discussed. Gotta be '18 or later.

The Knicks should go under league review for legal insanity if they trade a first round pick and a player for Kyle Lowry. In what way does he make your team better? On another note, I did not realize how devoid the Knicks were of draft picks for the next 3 years. They have really done a nice job of getting themselves stuck straight behind the 8-ball.

The Nuggets made out like bandits in that Melo trade. If it weren't for the clout of the Western Conference, I would say they could be serious contenders in the next few seasons
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

 Raptors fans.

I fear for them the day that they ever do get a star again like Vince. They'll build him up to destroy him. They are as bad as the Knicks fanbase.

for the 1st time in.... forever, i find myself always rooting for the eastern conference teams to beat western conference games. i guess that means subconsciously i still prefer for the cats to miss the playoffs this year and keep our pick.

go nets.

Lol. So you are in my boat where you want eastern conference teams to win and push us out, but want us to win when we watch us play as well?

Tanking can be a tricky art.

I'd like to see Jason Kidd continue to fail.

exactly. i cant bring myself to root for us to lose but i know we are good enough to stay in the 4-6 range, so i am rooting for all the other eastern conf teams to win every single game, especially when they play west conf, pacers and heat. sadly, the west conf has been destroying the east conf this week... and all season, but this week there were a ton of inter-conf matchups.

This Knicks' trading is a basketball equivalent of economy of Greece.
