I'd kindly like for someone to send me $5 million dollars so I can buy the house of my choice out there. Was in La Jolla Shores specifically. I don't normally have a lot of envy, Charlotte's a pretty cool city, but man am I jealous of people that get the wake up everyday and have that lifestyle. But it ain't cheap. I'm pretty sure every single house within a 2 mile radius of us was over $2 million. Many over 10 million dollars. And one crazy ass house sitting on the cliff that's currently for sale for $108 million. Even the one bedroom condos are like a million. One mile away from University of California San diego. Holy s*** what a privileged college life that is.

Anyone else here spend a decent amount of time in San diego?

Fats just saw this post. I used to travel there periodically on business. Spent some vacations there. It is drop dead gorgeous. Great weather all the time unless you go inland where it gets desert hot quickly. Long ago I thought about transferring there but the expenses are insane, housing costs and taxes impossible and the politics aren’t for me. One of my corporate buddies was from California. Told me a story about his brother who served in the Navy. He was stationed at the base in San Diego. When he retired from the service after 20 years back in the 80’s, he bought a modest house with a view in San Diego for around $180K. Today that place would sell for $5M.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

All we need are 2 maybe 3 edge rushers a DT MLB CB and FS. Also depth at RB

Don't forget upgrades at WRs, TE, and OL depth. An actual franchise QB might be in order too though I'll wait another year

Aside from those couple things, we're basically there!!

The offense will be fine if we get a good backup RB and a #1 WR. I think the rookie TE from the last draft is the starter, and the OL is good. This of course assumes Bryce's improvements are legit.

The defense however... apart from Horn, Brown and the rookies everyone else needs to go. This is literally the worst defense in franchise history. With a slight chance to be the worst defense in NFL history.

Drafting mason graham to go alongside Derrick brown and switching to a 4-3 would help. This entire offseason has to go towards defense good grief

Morgan had an awful first draft. I was screaming to take Ladd or Mitchell with our first pick and the now Steelers center with our second pick. The only good thing he did was get an extra 2nd

I agree with Liver and Graham should be the pick. I think Evero is a great coach however. He just has horrible talent on that side of the ball

Just walked in the woods behind my house for the first time since the hurricane. Not even kidding, there's a solid 150+ trees blown over. Almost all pines. An entire section of the forest is just stacks of trees now. It's like the Geoguessr wizard video when he tried to cross England in a straight line.

Some of them are leaning into still-planted trees. I guess when the next big storm hits, they'll end up falling over too.

How long before you think the town fully recovers?

I usually travel out to Asheville for a weekend every couple of years just to clear my mind. I hope they can fully recover.

Love the geowizard straight line reference. He's the goat. Those sections of crossing downed pines look terrifying.

Year and a half in my opinion. Maybe two. Depends on the area. Chimney rock maybe longer.

Panthers did one thing I wanted right in drafting Bryce Young but messed up in letting go coach WIllks. He and Bryce would be PERFECT for each other.

side note, another reason for me to hate dook..

They gonna get the best qb next year in Darian Mensah. I WAS a huge fan of his until he transfered there

Blowing Rock, on the other hand, is doing great. Big-time business flowing in last weekend. Hour-plus wait at every restaurant downtown on Sunday evening (even Mellow Mushroom). They were largely spared the worst of the hurricane, though.

Mellow Mushroom can't be your best restaurant. Cmon man is that the best you have to offer out West?

You live in Asheville or near? Let’s catch a game and be depressed.
