Playing off screening has been one of his best weapons so far.

3 best screeners on team (excluding plum) might be the 3 rookies - kalk, kon and sion. all 3 just so damn smart on court.

Was not a fan pre draft but he’s head and shoulders our second best player already. Even better than Miller.

10 games in a row is a lot for any team these days... I'd settle for 7 out of 10 games at this point
would be more than we ever got out of Melo+Miller+Mark
investigate Adam Silver

Sure. I'll take 7 out of 10 or 15 out of 20... just need to see this core with this coach, just once.

Re: Kon Air: The Kon Knueppel Thread
Just need to see this core together.... we've been saying that for decades. At some point, you either have it or you don't. And I don't think we do. LaMelo really needed to play 75 games this season. Either we already committed to the tank which is embarrassing after 2 weeks of the season, or LaMelo doesn't have it and we need to get rid of him ASAP while he has any sort of value left

Just watching him play the game of basketball as opposed to watching this modern AAU iso **** these days is a delight.

Re: Kon Air: The Kon Knueppel Thread
Some guys are built tough, others can’t handle it. I know injuries can occur to any athlete, but at some point you have to recognize the pattern for reality. Melo is often injured, it happens to the same area (ankle), which means it’s chronic. His wrist seems much better but he continues to flex and test it during games. I don’t see a future where he’s staying healthy.
Kon is just getting started, but he’s built tough. Takes spills, hits, hard to the floor, gets up. Shakes it off and keeps going. Praying he proves to be as durable as he looks so far. Point being, some guys just have great toughness genes. Impossible to scout it, short of watching for any signs of weak body/often injured areas. It’s about strength, but also amazing ligaments, tendons, strong bones/frame. Short recovery time. Kon appears to be blessed in these areas…Hope it proves out long term. Ace Bailey already on a regimented minutes schedule due to tendinitis. That is scary.

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: Kon Air: The Kon Knueppel Thread
Kon has definitely won me over, he may the best combination of skill and smart that we've ever had in the Horncat era. And his body/frame is great, I'll be interested to see if he can improve on it with nba training

When I watch Kon out there it makes me think he's what Gordo would have been if he had that dawg in him.

Re: Kon Air: The Kon Knueppel Thread
I always got slightly agitated when some fans would say stuff like he is good or this and that because he’s on the same team as Flagg. Then Flagg gets hurt and kon wins the acc tournament mvp and then the narrative was of course the acc sucks.
