I'd rather draft Beal and then tell washington or cleveland to give me something, anything, as well as their own pick. It's just too obvious not to do something.

I would be ok with this. I am fine taking a bench hustle guy like Robinson if we get a starter somewhere as well.

Yes, Robert Stack played the role of the tower chief. Great casting in that movie!

As long as we don't take T-Rob at 2 it will be easier to deal with, he is falling to #5 at least and maybe all the way to #9 if the Kings decide to take Drummond.

I don't care what anyone says, but the 2nd pick in the draft is worth much more than picks 4 and 24. This isn't the NFL.

But you don't draft a number, you draft a player. and if we get the same player at 4 that we would have had at 2, that's the exact same value. Actually, better because he's paid slightly less.

Not if you take Robinson. He would be there at 4 or even further back if we don't take him.

No, it's what the worth is to the OTHER team. The second pick in the draft gives the other team the player they REALLY want. They basically have FIRST choice in this draft on everyone not named Anthony Davis. That is worth more than pick #24.

If you don't get a better offer, you shouldn't just huff and puff like a whiny school girl and leave with the 6'8" basketball player named Tom.

And what if the team at #3 takes the player we want?

You have to gauge that risk as best as you can, and I'll leave that to Cho. If you want Robinson though, Washington would be stupid to take him themselves. Still, they might trade back for a team that DOES want him, in which case yeah he could be gone.

But that would leave MKG, Drummond, and even Barnes.

I don't believe any of these analysts know what we are doing with the pick, not a clue. We have been so tight lipped thoughout the process that its probably driving them crazy. Also Chad Ford is a douche

Let's jump Sacramento on their trade offer with Houston. I'd do 2 for Lowry, 12, and 16 in a heartbeat. Then spin Lowry off for another asset.

Stole this from the radio, but an interesting scenario. Not a rumor...I don't think, just an idea.

Trade 2 for 4 + 24
Trade 24 + 31 + Henderson for Rudy Gay
Draft Thor at 4

Starting lineup: Walker/Gordon/Gay/Thor/Biyombo

Talk about a lineup that could get us back to the playoffs. I think that lineup would seriously put us in that up and coming teams category...back-court might need some work with Walk and Gordon (very similar players) but it would be a great start. Who know's what Memphis' interest would be in 24 +31 + Henderson, but I would do it...if I had the power. haha.

Terrible idea, that lineup could sneak us into the playoffs next season and hurt our future draft positioning, talk about a panic move!

Uhh yeah, so you just made my case as to why it's a dumb trade. When drafting in the top 4, you better damn well get your first choice and if you don't, you need to be compensated much more than a risky 24 pick that chances are will amount to nothing. I drop back to 4, there better be 2 players I LOVE at that spot, plus I want a pick in the 10-15 range OR a player that has VALUE. 24 really doesn't have much value. It's an unknown. Not worth the risk for a #2 pick.

If we trade Henderson, our best proven player, we need to select Beal. But obviously that wouldn't be the case if we traded down to 4. But I don't like that idea.
