What if we did a sign and trade with Detroit for Monroe? hendo+Zeller/Neal+1st rounder+2nd rounder

His D has gotta be better then Boozer's right?

Al/Monroe would get messy.

I don't really like anybody left in free agency except for a few vets. I'd still want to dump Neal for cap space, and use the remaining cap space to go after a starting 4

Agreed. I still think we need a reliable 3pt threat off the bench which is why i would like to keep Neal and dump Hendo but idk who is willing to take him.

Here's a bit of an off-the-cuff idea...

Hendo & Neal to Brooklyn for Kevin Garnett

Brooklyn lost Livingston, Thornton, and Pierce this offseason. Johnson will probably play SF most of the time with Teletovic at PF. So they could use some SGs.

Is Garnett too old and washed up?

If we are really making a run at this I would see about Henderson and Neal for Green. Boston cuts 3 million off there books after next season and we get a 3/4 solid defender.

We would be deep and talented. Could work matchups and give plenty of options for Clifford. Would be an interesting lineup and allow us to play Williams at the back up 3 and start Green as a stretch 4.

I would also be down with a Jeff Green trade.

It would be interesting to see how the starting lineup would shake out if we brought in Green. I wonder if Clifford starts Green+MKG or would he favor the vets and start Williams+Green at the forward spots?

Clifford better not play with my emotions like that...

MKG & Jeff Green would compliment each other well as starting SF/PF

Marvin Williams will become the new redheaded stepchild but with good reasoning as he'll certainly be a net negative unless he's playing very limited minutes (i.e. 15-20 minutes per game)

In these trade scenarios no one seems to consider including Biz in our mix. Not saying I'd prefer him to Zeller as part of a SG deal to Boston for Green, but it could be an option. I still think Zeller's future might be as a reserve 5. Biz value is bound to be lower than Cody, so it is probably a moot point.

I really think the thing is that Biz is the only guy we have who has done anything good as a backup center. Cody may be able to play there eventually but hasn't shown it yet so if we move Biz we are gambling that we have no backup C. If Al has foot troubles next season we need someone who has played there.

Zeller can't even protect the rim in Summer League. He is never playing the 5.

I will never understand why people consider Zeller better than Biyombo as if they didn't see last season. Biyombo had a much more positive effect on the team than Zeller in less minutes
