Weirdly it’s mainly on this forum that thinks this. Not saying it’s right or wrong, but nearly everyone thinks this was a good pick

That's because we are a basketcase so casual NBA fans think the safe pick is what we need as we are so **** lol.

Its cause Knupple went to Duke. People would be raging like the Zeller pick if he went anywhere out of the state.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

He's a hard worker. He grinds. He has that mentality we look for. He's going to help the culture.

Melos face when Tiddy and Kon check into the game: :nonono:

Hes a dude. Country strong. Did you see the portion of the highlight reel they showed that was him diving for loose balls? Electric.

All the Buzz Beat guys are supporting this and have wanted this for weeks. Kon was beloved by most scouts/analytics people. I’ve no clue if it will work out, but this is not a Zeller/Kaminsky situation

Stop it.

One positive i guess is Charlotte will have top 3 odds in the lottery next year.

They won't win of course, and they'll probably be rewarded with Bennett Stirtz out of Iowa

But they won a 3-on-3 basketball tournament!

Stop what? My favorite Hornets podcast has been in consensus for weeks that this is the best player for us. Kon was top 5 or at least top 8 on every big board out there. It’s only this one section of the internet that thinks he’s not a lottery talent.

Analytic/Impact stats generally just show how effective a player is in their role. Kon was a complimentary on the most stacked team in the country with the best player in the country. He was highly effective in that role, but that doesn't necessarily indicate that he has high end potential in the NBA. You shouldn't be looking for a good role player in the top 4 of the draft.

This guy will be a role player. We could have traded back got assets and still drafted him. He's not the 4th best player in this draft with all due respect.

Kinda like us getting enamored with MKG for playing well on the most stacked team in the league that year. I can't tell if this pick or more like our 2012 bust or 2015 bust.

To be fair can we at least wait 5 years before we already do stuff like this lol

I can already see San Antonio jumping us to #1 in the lotto after finishing just outside of the playoffs due to Wemby going down half way through the year. We get bumped to #5.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
