Been a reader of this forum for a while, never posted to much, but ill try to be more active, expecting my 2nd son soon though, so probably not to much from me.

Congrats on the upcoming birth! We should all be happy the Cats made the playoffs. But it is important for the team to not be content with that deed alone. I wanna win!

I want to say that i'd like to see a few starters get some rest, but im on the fence about that. It's going to be interesting to see what LB does the rest of the way.

Don't want to piss on the parade, but it's vent time:

All this "Bobcats FINALLY make it to the playoffs" and "your team has never even made the post season" stuff drives me nuts.

It's only our 6th year in the league and it would have been next to impossible for us to get into the playoffs our 1st three years with the league restrictions with our salary cap - not to mention our first two years was made up of a roster that were cast offs - players that other teams didn't want.

Screw this "long time over due" stuff. I look at this as our 3rd year in the league. I think it's a mighty effort to make it especially considering some of our gaffs (bad drafts, back 2nd head coaching choice etc).

We need a slogan, a motto for our 1st playoff run. Any suggestions?

I was thinking of something like: "We've arrived"

Thoughts?

QFT, all things considered i think its pretty damn impressive that the Bobcats made the playoffs this soon, i remember the Cats were predicted to finish toward the bottom of the eastern conference in all the preseason predictions i saw. As for a slogan, not sure, yours sounds fine, ill try to think of something. Congrats from down under Bobcats!

In terms of a slogan, I don't like the idea of 'We've Arrived' because it signifies satisfaction with just getting to relevance. This is a team that, presumably, should be helmed by Stephen Jackson, Gerald Wallace, Larry Brown, and Michael Jordan for the next few years. Just getting to the playoffs shouldn't be an accomplishment, it should be the requirement.

I'd like something like:

'Get used to it'
'We're just getting started'
'Just the beginning'

"It starts now"

Given that its Masters week, how about the Tiger line: "Hello world"

"Pressure Better Find Some Birth Control"

i completely agree with your entire "never been to the playoffs" rant, Slam. It's not that serious. You'd think our team was the 40 year old virgin.

grizz 4 and made it to the playoffs in their 9th year

The media just likes things to be so dramatic.

Slogan... uhmmmm, popped that cherry..... we're coming, we're coming.... Bobcats, hoooooooo....party crashers......yeah, i got nuthin.

It's a huge deal. The team gets there first allstar- new owner MJ and now the playoffs.
Hope investors come because having a degenarite gambler as the owner with no other pockets scares me a little.

Toronto Raptors - 5 years
Memphis Grizzles - 9 years
Orlando Magic - 5 years
Minnesota Timberwolves - 8 years
New Orleans Hornets - 5 years
Miami Heat - 4 years
Dallas Mavericks - 4 years

As for a motto, lets wait and see what we do in the playoffs and then come up with a motto.

I hope aswell, that our main guys will have some rest. They have to cure all of the small injuries.

I would prefer that Ajinca, UPS, Hulk, Hendo and Diop play a huge amount of time.
