According to forbes, bobcats are a more valuable team then the new orleans hornets, and this is last years stats, this year the margin will probably be even higher, my question is do you think George Shin regrets moving the hornets to new orleans?

All of the recent franchise moves (Vancouver-Memphis, Charlotte-New Orleans, and Seattle-OKC) have been from larger/richer cities to smaller/poorer cities. This along with corrupt refs is David Stern's legacy. Letting owners move well supported teams for dubious reasons.

If I ever see David Stern in person I'm gonna kick him really hard in the knee and say "That's for the Sonics! Jerk!"

...the team will be sold to Gary Chouse who already has a 25% minority stake in the team. Shinn will be selling his 75% for 200 million making the value of the team around $265 million. With the value of the Cats being at $275, that gives Charlotte the slight advantage.

How would yall like it if the Hornets move to seattle then became the Super Sonics, and then Charlotte gets the Hornets name back? it would be a win win for all parties because quite frankly new orleans doesn't give a flying flip about the hornets

This would be fantastic, Just add one thing to your dream scenario: Clay Bennet gets hit by a bus and OKC moves to New Orleans, then no deserving city has to be without an NBA team.

Also, If I remember correctly the Charlotte Observer had a interview with Shinn a while back. And in that interview Shinn admitted he had made a lot of mistake with the Hornets franchise, and that if he could go back he would have handled things differently. So, I'm pretty sure he regrets moving the team to New Orleans.

With the playoffs and if MJ changes the name to the Wildcats then the sky is the limit. We could be the biggest team out of all the non huge NY-LA-Chicago market out there. We could be 4th.
Before I ever moved here people who traveled alot told me Charlotte is the nicest place they have been to.

i like to rip stern as much as the next guy due to my feeling that he intentionally has rigged a handful of games/events in the greater interest of money/ratings and that does not bode well for a fan of a small market team. however, i think he must be given lots of credit for what he has done for the league in terms of the big picture. the nba was a mess in the late 70s early 80s. the contact with cbs was awful. finals games were being shown on tape delay or not at all and the league had a massive drug problem. stern helped take the nba to the monster levels the nba achieved in the late 80s early 90s.

Thats because the larger cities deserved it. The other teams didn't have the fans behind them.
If it was all about money wouldn't conneticut and Vegas have teams?
I don't like having nba teams overseas and hope Stern leaves before he can do that.

the only thing preventing Stern from putting a team in Vegas is the problems that could be caused by betting.

A team in Vegas? With an immature league with a bunch of kids? Yeah thats a good idea lol.
I hope they can be the Hornets again.
