...there are rumors going around about Gerald Henderson's relationship with Larry Brown. Obviously, something is amiss. In short, the rumor -- again, I have zero confirmation; this is entirely a rumor based on hearsay -- is that Henderson actively resisted an assignment to the NBDL.

Really tragic if true, Henderson could have improved a lot in the DL. It's unfortunate that playing there carries such a stigma. This is also interesting because of how LB must see it. Does this make Henderson more likely to be used as trade bait? Is it worth it to package him to get rid of Diop and have the money to resign Felton for example?

This was news when it happened around late November. But, in other news you might find interesting, Ronald Reagan died, Japan surrendered and the earth, it turns out, is round. CRAZY!

The crazy part is to think somebody is gonna pay Diops deal just for Henderson. He was a bust, I think.

I can't see how a player could refuse to go to the D. Wouldn't that equate to refusing to go to practice?

It seems a little far fetched that Hendo would win out in a battle of wills going up against Larry Brown.

My guess is Brown gave him the option (maybe even recommending it). Hendo declined, obviously.

I think it was that way:
Brown wanted to send Henderson to D-league to get some playing time and experience. Hendo answered that he is not interested as he is learning more in practise playing against our team players not in D-league against d-leaguers.

It's 50-50 situation. Now I realise why we don't need draft picks at all. LOL

I here Charlotte is getting a new expansion team. I really hope they don't come up with a nickname thats an homage to their owner. That would be really stupid, especially if the owner ever sells the team.

I think the Hornets should draft this kid from Russia name Andre Kerilinko...but something tells me they are going to draft Baron Davis...At least the team will NEVER move!

To be fair though, the Rufus mention is fresh, so maybe his "source" is reaffirming the rumor from earlier.

e4Nf6, I either didn't see this the first time, or I'm getting so old that I forgot. So, thanks for posting it. I guess it could be one reason why Brown hasn't seemed too thrilled with Henderson this season.
