My espn pepps get on me for liking the Hughes signing and want him gone. I think it was a good move. Am I crazy or was a good signing?

Did we have another choice??? We sort of ran out of time at the trade deadline after trading Flip, so we're kind of lucky Hughes became available and wanted to play for us.

he took and made a lot of shots yesterday. But normally, he misses 70% of them.
So, yeah, I still want him gone because sooner or later, it will cost us wins

I almost like it. Well, i'm neutral about it. It is nice to have a scoring option off the bench, but I would have prefered someone else. Maybe someone from the Dleague.

today i am happy... ask me again next week after he goes 2-for-9 with 4 turnovers.
however, as long as DJ is shooting lights out, those two make a good pair.

He just needed time to get back in game shape. Larry Brown said he was nowhere near basketball shape when we got him. So the Hughes we will see from here on out is the Hughes of the last 2 games.

my only beef with hughes is the fact that he is a "shooting guard" that cannot shoot. he is a career 40% shooter and is shooting 31% for the bobcats and 35% for the sesaon. if getting in "game shape" can get him back to 40% levels, i will be a little happier. i do appreciate his defense, playmaking and FT shooting though.
i guess i just yearn for the day the bobcats actually have a guard that can really shoot while at the same time, not be a defensive liability. that would be nice. but, for now, i will gladly take hughes as a welcome addition to the playoff roster.

He doesn't look to create for others as much as I would like, but I think that has more to do with LB's direction than anything, but all in all I am still happy with the signing.
As Battery pointed out considering our options how could we not be happy?

Yes, but I don't like how much LB plays him. We lost a few games now because he was in there launching Bricks instead of Graham. I actually trust Graham offensively more than Hughes except at the FT line.

This is about what I expected, except I figured he would hit at least 1/3rd of his shots, but still. This is why I didn't/don't want the Bobcats to commit to him, as opposed to Dexmors' "Lets lock him up now, before he plays" plan.
I'd like to see him play less, but honestly this is what I expected to happen.
