So what's going on with this guy? Why he never plays? Is he that bad? Is he injured? Is he fat lazy piece of crap that just doesn't care? Is he Jerome James vol.2? because their contacts are the same.
What do you plan to do with him?

Try to fool Larry Brown into trading for him again once he bolts to Philly?

He's awesome. Totally under used here. He's a real game changer with a developing offensive game.
Wanna trade for him?

He is the #1 Nigerian Bobcats fan. It's worth having on our payroll if you ask me.

Not really.
Anyway good luck to you and Diop for the next 3 seasons.

Wow, you guys realize we owe him like 7mil through the 2012/2013 NBA season? Only an idiot like Mark Cuban would give out that type of deal, and only someone like the Bobcats would actually trade for it. Stay hot.

Maybe? The only way it gets worse is if there's another guy making more who also doesn't play?

But Larry demanded that management trade for him. Maybe like someone else said we should demand the sixers take him with larry.

Maybe he makes up for his contract with 419 scams?

He isn't a bad player we are just loaded at his position. The same thing happened to Nazr last year and everybody said he couldn't play. This year he gets on the floor and has a good season.
During DIops best seasons in the league he averaged about 18 min per game, scored 3 pts, shot just under 50%, pulled down about 5 reb and got about block and a half. His scoring average was always low because teams never looked for him to score. Those are the numbers that got him the contract he has now. That and being fairly young. To be fair the way contracts are looked at has changed quite a bit since that one was written.
In the 15 games this year Diop played more then 10 minutes for us he averaged 19 minutes, 2.5 points, 4.8 rebs and 1.1 blocks. He also shot 62% from the floor. Throw in enough games where he plays the last 3 minutes to take that 19 min average down to 9 and it cuts all his other stats in half too. I you want to knock him for crappy play the worst thing he has done this year since he came to Charlotte is shoot free throws. The coaches need to work with him on that and he needs to get past the mental part of it.
Also the stats don't really tell the whole story with DIop. The best thing he does is change a lot of shots in the lane with his length. He has very good footwork in the post but is a lot less coordinated with his hands. He has great size. Watching him play for us last year I never felt like the drop off from Omeka to Diop or Naz was very big. As large as his contract is he is half of what NO will be paying Oak.
He is still young enough that his best years could be ahead of him. He hasn't shown a lot of improvement lately but you never know when something will click. Most bigs have there best years at 29, 30, 31, 32. Diop is 28.
He looks slow and plodding at times and has a limited vertical, but he is still a decent athlete. He had one play this year where he stole the ball in a one on one situation at mid court and dribbled for a breakaway dunk.
